Channel 4 ruled 'unjust and unfair' in climate change documentary

Ofcom has ruled that Channel 4 breached broadcasting codes on impartiality and was "unjust and unfair" in the way it represented individuals in its controversial documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle.

this is an outrageous example of the Goreite government here trying to stop all discussion of this issue. WE have not had censorship like this for centuries! At least the Judge who condemned Gore's stupid film cannot be got at my the government. But we see the warmies trying to stop an independent channel attacking the sacred word of Al Gore.

First. I was a ruling on the U.K. I have never heard of a 'gorite government' in the U.K. Is that similar to the labor party?

Secondly, the decree was noting both inaccurate statements and a failure to allow the people attacked unfairly a 'timely response'. This is a standard about *reporting* NOT GW.

The show actually misrepresented a LOT more than a few statements by a few individuals.

our government has fallen for Gore's scam 100%. No action is ever taken about silly films like Al Gore's bit of fiction or rubbish like "The Day after tomorrow", but anything contradicting the "consensus" and the powers that be are down on Ch4 like a ton of pig manure. The commission found no fault at all in most of the complaints lodged, not even the 175 page diatribe submitted by Bob Ward. The only finding of fault was that Dr. King was not given a proper chance to rebut. This was an excellent treatment of another view of an important topic.

We last had censorship like this in Europe under Hitler and Stalin. Before that , it was the Inquisition.

That was because their mandate was NOT to rule of the data but on the rules of journalism. You are trying to 'extend' the ruling past it's true premise.

Nope. In fact I have observed the exact opposite which may be why you protest too much.. people always complain about others doing what THEY tend to do, judging that other people must be exactly like them, even when the other person wouldn't event THINK of doing that..
