drill for oil WHERE THERE IS OIL.
stop pricing oil in Dollars! this would cause an instant price drop worldwide.
for the UK - stop taxing gas at over 80%. we are actually taxed TWICE on gas - duty, then VAT on that!

This will kill the speculators, a large factor in the increasing costs of oil.
