I find this post very ignorant, there are a lot of homophobics around. It is not limited to just white people. In fact most of the gays that I know are white.

I don't know a lot about Maine, and I don't want to step on anybody's toes or offend anybody, but it seems that ever time a topic with race comes up, there is lots of controversy. Why can't we just be fair?

Being homophobic insinuates a fear of homosexuality. Believing that homosexuality is immoral isnt homophobia. Its simply a belief that homosexuality is a sin. Now I believe that we all make mistakes and we all do bad things. None of us are perfect by any means. We should all strive to be perfect, but its just impossible. Homosexuality is a temptation inside of someone. They have to chose for themselves wether to give in or deny their urges. I believe that it is a sin but all sins are equal and they can turn from their sin. But I dont look at them as a lesser human being because of it. Everyone makes mistakes. Its up to them to deside if the are making the right choice. Hopefully they can make a choice that isnt just a choice of the flesh and of their sexual taboos.
