Affirmation: Gay and Lesbian Mormons applauds the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for endorsing the employment and housing non-discrimination act now before the Salt Lake City Council.

Screw YOU LDS church. My "partner & I" of 25 years are STILL grieving over the outcome of PROP HATE in California. Too Little Too Late. Screw you! I hope the IRS comes down on you HARD !!

Put your money where you mouth is -- send $$$ to the various PRO Same-Sex Marriage initiatives going on in the various state.

These damn churches think they're gonna win us over with their pretty, friendly words. Then, they go and blow it by ending with quotes like this:

“This is an opportunity for the Church to take a position of leadership, to declare an end to the hostilities that have divided our country and our families, to welcome all of God’s children into the Church of Jesus Christ.”

No, no, NO. I am NOT headed into your church, we have not been ASKING to be welcomed into your church, many of us have NO F*****G INTEREST in any part of ANY church. Don't you get it? We are trying to welcome YOU into the 21st century! You cannot take a "position of leadership" because you are not my leaders!

I'm glad they're realizing that their church "does not have the right to impose its unique standards upon those of other faiths”(or no faith), but the REASON for that realization is explained in the very next paragraph.

I don't know how many millions of dollars or how many jokes were okay until now, but it's obvious that their "change of heart" is the result of a simple COST ASSESSMENT, and not the result of realizing that they've been treating people like S**T! They haven't realized that their behavior is wrong, they just can't afford it anymore!

Our freedoms are not to be balanced against what the church can afford! As was said above, put your money where your mouth is! How many millions of dollars is it okay for you to SPEND before your church can really say that it ACTUALLY HELPED END INEQUALITY?

Where were they in 2009? Supporting the anti-gay side of Maine.

When a religion endorses the unequal treatment of races and proclaims that it is holy to have more than one wife, they have NO room to pass judgment on the personal lives of others!

Brigham Young, the founder of the LDS church, was a tyrant and a fool. He had 16 wives and referred to Africans as the people of Cain. He massacred people in the name of God.

The LDS church is almost as bloodstained and hypocritical as the Catholic Church, and I want NO affiliation with them EVER!!
