LOL..As an Alabamian, I'd usually defend my state as not being that bad. But this is Tuscaloosa. I'd believe just about anything out of that lovely city.

I know too gay and it is not funny, it is a bad act and just used to draw attention to themselves, they were either drunk or drags

Drunk in a bar? Oh my! In drag? Well, they certainly deserved to be ejected for that!

One can't tell much from the video, but Joseph was certainly not drunk then, nor was he wearing a dress. I don't pretend to know the whole story--there are always two sides to every story--but I'm not prepared to make up a defense for the bar out of sheer speculation and prejudice against drag queens!

Well.... looking at this objectively...

The report says that he was there with 20 other friends. Yet he is the only one talking about it? Maybe if he had at least 5 or 6 other friends there that witnessed this, it would seem more credible.

Honestly, I have see large groups of gay men (and lesbians too) kicked out of bars but it was never for being gay, but for being too loud or obnoxious.

Unfortunately, many stories like this are based on perspectives of the parties involved and hard facts are usually missing.

Sorry, but being "too gay" isn't an act. What it is, is a flamboyant gay man deciding he's not going to try his hardest to act as straight as possible. He takes what God gave him, embraces it and instead of getting all depressed because he acts like a queen he insteads goes with the flow. It really irks me when gay men bitch about other gay men being "too gay". A queeny guy is acting "as is" and for you to try to insinuate it's just an "act" is bullshite seeing it's these guys who get to have bat taken to their heads. Might as well pull a sheet over your head and join the KKK with this attitude, oh wait, they'd definitely think you were "too gay" too.

Yup, this guy must be making it up <sarcasm with a hint of f'u). What is it with some of you? I have been kicked out of a bar and even though they didn't come out and say it was for me being gay I can assure you that was the case. I've been in the same situation as this guy however mine was a bit more extreme. Instead of the owner saying she didn't like gays I had a customer tell me I was bound to be attacked for being gay. But you know, I stayed out and proud in that hick town and I can assure you I had quite an effect on most of the guys showing them they didn't have to be ashamed of being in-any-way-shape-or-form queer.

What is it with gays putting down other gays? And why is it you have to saying he's lying? You weren't there. And his lack of friends on camera is not proof or lack of it.

Grow up people. To me, it's obvious the bar owner didn't expect her comments to end up in the news and is now embarrassed and trying to save face.

But whatever, at the very least you can stop putting down others who are who they are, just like YOU are who you are. We want tollerance and acceptance, but yet many gays refuse to accept others because they are "too gay". My guess is that they embarrass you.

Instead of joining the descrimination against flamboyant gays, try sticking up for them because it is likely THEY are the ones responsible for you have any of the rights that WE as a whole have one over the last 30 or so years.

BTW, I'm a "straight acting" gay man and it discusts me how intollerant so many "straight acting" gay men can be. You don't have to date someone that makes you uncomfortable, but at the very least, stop putting them down for who they are. It's the least you can do since that's what you expect from straight society.

Kudos to this guy for speaking up and not putting up.

With a name like "Catch 22" who is this bar trying to attract? Using a double entendre as a name of your bar is inviting the gay community to check you out.

A little background on Tuscalooser Alabama (where, including the U of Alabama, the prettist building in town is the WalMart)...

There are TWO Alabamas. One is in Mobile and Huntsville and Birmingham. And then there is Tuscaloosa...

Here's who represents T-town in the State Leg.

You just validated my point. YOU assumed it was your sexuality that got you kicked out. Could it have been that you were too loud, or obnoxious or even sarcastic?

I am not defending the customer nor the bar. I look at things like this objectivly so that I don't go off running and screaming discrimination every time someone doesn't agree with me or like the way I am.

Trust me, there people get kicked out of bars all the time for one reason or another. Usually what the bar sees and what the customer sees are always different. And in this story, all we have been given is two different stories with nothing else to support them.

So you can stand all proud and tell the world to F-Off all u want. But if you are in a bar where I am trying to have a nice time with friends and you are being loud, obnoxious and making scenes because it is "who you are", then I will applaud any bar owner that kicks your ass out for the comfort of everyone else.

Us being gay does not give us the right to be assholes in public and expect everyone else to accept it.

That's so stupid that someone would get kicked out of a bar for that. Being a gay guy I wouldn't go to a straight bar anyhow. Why would I want to subject myself to that? It's not likely I'd find a guy to hook up with in a straight bar. I would go to a gay bar where I wouldn't have to worry about such idiots telling me I'm being "too gay." Consider it the straight bar's loss of business.

The State Representative from Tuscalooser is Gerald Allen (R - as if you even needed to ask). Rep. Allen supports legislation banning any book that even remotely paints Gay people in anything other than a negative light. Gay Alabamians - such as Truman Capote would be ashamed. So should all Alabamians of character.

I won't even get in to the issues with former Alabama Treasurer George Wallace Jr.(A REPUBLICAN) or the current Alabama Attorney General Troy King (google him and add Gay and see what you come up with)

Gerald Allen sounds like a tyrannical bigot to me. He sounds like a damn Nazi. I would compare him to Adolf Hitler and racists. He should never be allowed to be in office.
