Well, the school board finally decided to keep the clubs and let the G/S Alliance club operate.

The primary issue hasn't changed. The principal who resigned is still at the school for another year.

Glad to hear that the school district came to its senses in deciding against it's baby with the bathwater option of banning all student clubs as its only legal way of prohibiting the formation of a GSA. Now if they'd show the bigoted principal the door before the start of the next school year, they'd really could be applauded...

Welcome to a lesson in Moron 101. The United States Supreme Court already ruled GSA clubs could exist.

The talibangelicals created the very law which permits GSAs in public schools in the first place. It was this same law which allowed Bible study clubs on public school premises, and the fundies knew at the time what the law's implications would be regarding GSAs. They went ahead with the law, so too bad for the whining bigotphobes.

What is a club based on sexual preference of any kind doing in highschool? Would it be ok to have a bondage club? Maybe a foot fetish club? Why not make this a private off campus situation, that way no one would have a say in it other than those involved. Tax dollars fund these school clubs(along with fund raisers). Its hard to stomach something that you not only disagree with, but pay for as well.
