(I'm sure you or someone has posted this before, but it bears repeating) I am encouraged that the Bolthouse shelves in my local Fresh Market stay full while the shelves around it empty out. I wonder if there's a "Boycott Homophobia" sticker we could put on these products?

This is the land of the free market and both businesses have a right to sell whatever legal products they want, and do to with their profits as they see fit. Just like we have rights, so do they. Whole Foods is the only 'organic' store by me and I will continue to shop there for my health and the health of my children. From reading your posts, I assume you are gay. And some people did jump the gun making accusatory remarks. I don't think boycotting Whole Foods or other retailers is the answer. If the product doesn't sell, they will quit carrying it. However, I do question your loyalty to Boathouse Farms. When I am deciding to make a purchase from a "controversial" manufacturer, I ask myself the question - "Would I be willing to donate money to the cause they support if they came to my door requesting it?". If the answer is no, I don't buy their products. Have you asked yourself this same type of question?

You gotta love the "tolerance and appreciation of diversity" as exhibited by those commenting here. Or are you only tolerant of those who see things your way? I enjoy Bolthouse products and will continue to enjoy them. If they see their mission is to glorify God, more power to them. The intolerance of Christians who do not support gay marriage would be funny if it weren't so pathetic. Where is your outcry against the Muslin religion, which does not support gay marriage, much less anything homosexual -- remember the President of Iran said they have no homosexuals in Iran. Wonder why that is?

Wonder why that is? Glorifying G-d is a wonderful thing and I support that and anyone else who chooses to do so. You cross a line when you try to say that taking away my marriage is a glorification to G-d. Neither YOU nor Bolthouse Farms has the right to interfere with my MARRIAGE. I'll kindly thank you to stay out of my personal life. Oh, and Muslims glorify G-d too! They have no homosexuals in Iran because they murder them rather than let them live in peace, in that regard they are simply replaying a page from the history of Christians. So, I will worship in my Synagogue, you in your Church and a muslim in their Mosque and we will all glorify G-d in our way. Stay out of my life though and stay the hell away from my marriage. Oh, I have been legally married for 6 weeks now (been together 5+ years), how have you been harmed in any way? Oh, you don't even know me, didn't even know I was married - silly me - how could you possibly have been harmed in any way?!? Eric

I never used to drink too much of it, but I've recently realized how good they are for the body, and, apparently for the country. I've even started a Bolthouse Farms jingle contest: http://people.bakersfield.com/home/Blog/blogn... Go green! Go Bolthouse!

I did a search for Bolthouse Farms Products and found that they are carried in other stores in Texas as well: Wal-Mart, Super Target, Brookshires, and Sam's. As a consumer, I will stay on the look-out for their products and boycott where possible!

Why is it in America, the land of free speech we are so limited in what we say? If Bolthouse disagrees with a person's lifestyle and voices that opinion, what's all the ruckus. When there's a gay-pride parade in town I don't boycott the town. Let the man have his opinion, actually it's not just his opinion it's God-inspired from the Word.(Romans 1:27) But if you don't believe in the Bible or that we are to take it literally than you won't understand why Bolthouse execs are donating money to this cause. And let's face it, this is just small chump change to these people, maybe their giving in other ways that you can agree with. Because let's face it they make a delicious juice and their mocha latte is out of this world. Well worth 3 bucks. God's peace and love to you all!

And MY free speech means I can ask my local store to NOT carry their product. And guess what: they did. Since a large majority of their customers are gay people, the store took the Bolthouse Farms products off the shelf and no longer order them. Why should MY money go to support someone who actively works against MY RIGHTS. Just so you can have an overpriced latte? I think my rights are worth more than that.

You people are all effin' retarded. Boycotting a beverage thats actually healthier than all the other crap out there. I can understand if you boycott FUR products because it's directly related to ANIMALS. See the relation? But you're boycotting FOOD product because of Anti GAY MARRIAGE? It's only in the state of California. Unless politians are accepting bribes, nothing will change. So I think it's about time you prententious idiots pulled your head out of your fat butt and drank something you obviously enjoy, which most of you have stated, and not the company donates money to twisted causes.

Wait guys, so I bought the whole story the first time I read about this, and I wrote the company to complain. I got back this incredibly quick, cool, and informative response.
The foundation and the company are separate and they have VERY different views, the PR person explained they fully embrace diversity and do not share the views of the Foundation. Again as a business owner I understand that the founders can cash out, start a "foundation" and pursue their own ideological agendas. The Company passed into the hands of new owners and investors may be completely repelled by the association and yet powerless to do much about it. I appreciate them responding and explaining, I'm sure they got a lot of flack over this and it would have been just as easy to ignore me. We are not the extremist on the right, we can actually chase down facts and demmand explanations. I totally stand corrected on my initial thoughts and reactions
