Finally - an issue where it's not "I'm sleeping with a man" but "I'm cheating on my wife". When Ted Haggard had his downfall did we hear anything regarding adultery? I don't think I heard the religious right breathe the word once. The sex of the person shouldn't matter in an affair - it is the affair which should be the focal poin.

OK, on the 4th click of that link I finally got through Salon's incredibly messy website coding to the article... now going to read it.

Some webmasters should be taken out and shot.

I thought the man's letter was well written and he conveyed his struggle very succinctly. The response, however, was a whole lot of psycho-christo-babble that really said nothing at all. Is this what passes for constructive help these days? I realize it is just an advice column, but still... I hope the gentleman finds someone with more substance to guide him to a better understanding and acceptance of himself, and that doesn't include denying his true nature.

I dont know how this guy can consider himself a christian. The bible clearly states in 1 Corinthians 6:9 that no homosexual will enter the gates of heaven. God did not make this man a homosexual. The devil has led him astray and a homosexual spirit has came upon this man. He is being deceived like many other people in the world. God does love the person but He does not love this demonic spirit that now posesses this man. It is disgusting...

Being a Christian is accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. At NO point in scripture or in the brain of any thinking human being or most animal or plant life does it say "you must be heterosexual for this offer to apply."

Sexual orientation has NOTHING to do with being a Christian. There are excellent Christians who are gay or bi-sexual.

What is your translation? Sure the word homosexual didn't exist in Paul's time but the act of men lying with men did.

Reread the article. This man is bisexual not homosexual.
