I think an excellent counterpoint to these pseudo-scientific and pseudo-religious yarns would be an exposition of the legitimate and documented changes brought about about new research in genetics, anthropology and the behavioral sciences.

Too much of this discussion is shoe horned into the contexts created by narrow parochial viewpoints instead of focusing on the science, the medicine and the facts.

An old column, but nevertheless still perfectly relevant. I've always liked Krauthammer, even if I don't always agree with him.
