1 That is why "toss-up" States have become Obama States and many traditional Red States have been "toss-ups". |

2 Actually, it's Bush who chased me away (along with my former congressman Tom Delay). The neoconservative movement is a cancer that has destroyed the GOP and threatens our country. Of the group running in the Republican primaries, McCain is the only one I would even consider voting for. But Buckly is right about Obama. I don't agree with Obama on all the issues, but he has "a first-class temperament and a first-class intellect." |

1 I mean, gosh, gee, we elcet guys like Traficant, Schwartzenegger and Ventura. Why not Obama? A few words from Lily Tomlin might tell the others gathered here just exactly what you are up to: "No matter how cynical you become, it's hard to keep up." |

1 You know, this poster really thinks the voters are going to surprise us all. The generally gritty feeling seems to be catching hold that we are going to see the numbers stay about the same, but with a lot of new faces. What better way to reward the stupidity of our elected officials than with a swift kick to incumbency. |

2 Are these the qualities that we should look for in our next president? I think so. The closer we come to November 4, 2008, the more I think about this question and what it means to every person in America and what it means to me. One might think that all this political business is beyond anything that you or I or anyone can affect. If you get up in the morning and go to work at a job, than you are already involved in politics. The only question left, is what are you going to say about it? What are you going to do? We have a choice each of us. Our choice will have ramifications for the immediate future and for decades to come and effect human events both near and far. That choice will effect not only the safety of the United States of America, but the safety of many throughout the world in how we as a nation act, or how we might fail to act. When asked recently about individuals of a dubious nature with whom he was connected, Senator Barack Obama responded by attempting to deflect the question claiming that his detractors were trying to employ the use of "guilt by association". And yet senator Obama repeatedly equates Senator John McCain with current the President George W Bush by the same means of "guilt by association". John McCain is not George W Bush and Barack Obama needs to understand this as much as the American voters do. Barack Obama is not running against George W Bush or his administration although he may think he is. This is a contest between the individuals of John McCain and Barack Obama. The differences to me seem perfectly clear and Barack Obama's lack of understanding in this matter makes all the difference. However, if Barack Obama would have us believe that John McCain is simply a component of the Bush administration, would he in turn have us, the American voter, equate him with those people with whom he has personally and professionally associated himself with over the last eight years as well? Is Barack Obama the person of Jeremiah Wright, Michael Pfleger, Tony Rezko, Richard Daly or Emil Jones? Is Barack Obama William Ayers, a noted terrorist who shared boards and speaking engagements with the Senator? I dont think that this is a political game that Barack Obama wants to engage in, because it is one that politically he cannot win. Such comparisons would soon and apparently look much worse for Barack Obama than they ever could for John McCain. If the last eight years are on trial, than it is time for Barack Obama and his friends to take the witness stand. On the other hand, I would trust a man like John McCain, a man who has a personal wealth of real world experience to draw upon in making the important decisions that would accompany managing the office of the President of the United States. John McCain has been a United States Senator since 1986 unlike Barack Obama who, including a recent brief visit to Washington DC to help with the current ecomonic crisis that threatens the American ecomony, has physically spent fewer than 140 days in the United States Senate. Barack Obama also has no executive experience that would include the planning and balancing of a large scale budget. But if Senatorial experience is the measure by which we must judge, than John McCain wins that contest by a rather large margin. John McCain has seen long service to his country, including great personal sacrifice and physical hardship in uniform and honest faithful service in elected office. |

2 1992- Obama taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School for twelve years, being first classified as a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996, and then as a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004. 1993 joined Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland, a twelve attorney law firm specializing in civil rights litigation and neighborhood economic development, with his law license becoming inactive in 2002. Obama was a founding member of the board of directors of Public Allies in 1992, resigning before his wife, Michelle, became the founding executive director of Public Allies Chicago in early 1993. He served from 1993 to 2002 on the board of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago, which in 1985 had been the first foundation to fund Obama's DCP, and also from 1994 to 2002 on the board of directors of The Joyce Foundation. Obama served on the board of directors of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge from 1995–2002, as founding president and chairman of the board of directors from 1995–1999. He also served on the board of directors of the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the Center for Neighborhood Technology, and the Lugenia Burns Hope Center. State legislator, 1997–2004 US Senate 2004 - present Basically this character has been in & out of the workforce for ONLY 15 YEARS including being a politician 11 of those 15 years! How is this a resume for success? I see "NOT READY" written all over this. |

1 Abused? or "used" her power? If she were a democrat, you would be cheering her a feminist hero. I need a drink. |
