In Palin's mind, there is no line. Palin used taxpayer money to pay for religious trips. I'm Catholic and I think churches should pay taxes, like the rest of us. The Constitution never mentions the words "God", "Christian", or "Bible". Preachers should have the right to endorse any candidate they want from their pulpit. It's FREE SPEECH, BUT we should not subsidize it with the tax breaks. Some people have created the MYTH that this country was formed as a "CHRISTIAN" nation. That's impossible because the Constitution doesn't mention it. On the contrary, the first Amendment to the Constitution states that "Congress shall make no law RESPECTING an ESTABLISHMENT of RELIGION, or PROHIBITING the FREE exercise thereof..." Moreover, the Constitution does not state that churches shall be tax free. I want my priest to tell me how to vote. Then if I disagree, I will go to another church. That fact is that MOST churches want the TAX BREAKS more than the free speech. Many want BOTH. Tough crap. You can't have BOTH.

There's a fine line between the two reasons for her visits. Billing taxpayers for legitimate political purposed visits or rather, speaking events, is one thing. While the unjustified would be utilizing "free" money to use for your worshipping. Yet, this seems to based solely on a single reporter's account. Really they must probe for significant evidence(There's just got to be records of what the Governor did at each visit), before making this into something that really isn't.

The scandals are coming out in groups about this gal. This cannot be good for a fragile campaign that is watching its opponant slip into a double digit lead with only 3 weeks to go. If McCain wants an October surprise that might put him in front again, he should dump Palin and put Romney on his ticket as VP.

There is no line now anyway. Bush has been doing the same thing for the 8 years he's been in office. We needed him out a long time ago and certainly do not need McSame/Palin in now. I'm tired of the religious agenda being morphed into our government. It's not righ and I don't want my governement telling me what I should be doing. I pray every night now that Obama will win and get us out of the 1950's.

The woman is clueless and close-minded to the extreme. I can't even stand to see her picture come up on the news anymore, she is that much of a disappointment. I wonder how Lieberman is taking all this republican nonsense? I bet he is watching his career flush right down the toilet.

What this country really needs is someone who figures the Constitution isn't applicable to themselves, again, eh?

The sweet irony of all of this is that a lot of this stuff might have never been brought up had she not accepted the National Spotlight. How many of you are aware of your own Govs expense report? Palin is getting exactly what she deserves. She's going to have a lot to answer to when she returns to Alaska on Nov 5. How much money will the GOP invest in lawyers for her?

And don't forget, when comparing her desired role of VP to Cheney's actions, she says the VP role doesn't have enough power. This woman, who has been charged with ETHICS VIOLATIONS wants to give the VP office even more power than Cheney tried to yield. Bottom line, a person's NAME doesn't scare me. It's their actions that I pay attention to. And Palin scares me. If she's ever VP, or God forbid, President we're in a bad way.

SPOKEN LIKE AN IDIOT THAT HASN'T EVER HAD CHILDREN, OR HAD SOMEONE ELSE RAISE THEIR CHILDREN FOR THEM. You can teach them everything you know, try instill every belief and value within you, but in the end..... IT IS A MATTER OF FREE WILL AND INDIVIDUAL CHOICE Sometimes as youth we make poor decisions DESPITE what parents do to teach us the better path. I'm sure you and others on here have had their youthful indiscetions, went against your parents' teachings and such. It is not a bad reflection on your parents - it is simply a poor reflection on your personal choices.

According to Wikipedia, a WARNING prophecy (concerning Obama being the wrong man for president) was given over 43 years ago. THE WOMEN HAVE BEEN PERMITTED TO VOTE. AND IN VOTING, SOMEDAY THEY LL ELECT THE WRONG MAN. by William Marrion Branham who died 24th December, 1965 in Friona, Texas. Branham prophesied in February 1964 the Good Friday, Prince William Sound, Alaska earthquake, which struck with a magnitude 9.2 force.(There is well documented evidence elsewhere and noted references in Wikepedia for research). This scene is busy being played out in the USA elections. The women who once voted for Hillary Clinton are presently showing their allegiance towards Barack Hussain Obama, which is not a good thing and hopefully this warning ha s not come too late. With either candidate America is going to face future problems but the one candidate will make matters far worse than the other. Too great a change is not always good and can unsettle an already unsettled and troubled nation. Obama possibly winning the USA elections may be one of the many important elements causing so much unsettlement in the USA economy and world-wide. Strange that much of the crises has surfaced since he has decided to run for office and is worsening as time moves closer. The novelty of voting for a black man will wear off and one will be down to basics and reality on the ground. Each person is influenced by ones background and sympathy towards their own race/races which can have disastrous consequences for those who are of the opposite race or those of the black race already residing in America. The right person as president (in this case McCain) can pick up the pieces and move towards healing the economy, sorting out homes, giving back jobs. He will sort the situation out without making things worse in such troubled times. Troubled times are not the right time to change things drastically and still rely on the thought pattern of someone who has had so much turmoil in his own life. Dont believe that everything will just come right over night as politics is not magic. That is not reality - and what Americans are doing is trying to live out a dream. Remember prophecy can change if America wakes up in time. Biblical prophecy already written cannot change. PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE.

I've been reading that they are digging into how the Palin's house was built and what materials were used. There is some concern it may have been built for free by the same contractor who was awarded the sports complex project as a "gift" to Palin for awarding the contract ala Senator Stevens style and with materials that were "leftovers" from that job. Not looking so good for the Palins.

Dateline: Melbourne, FL Known Topix Liberal Investigated AKA Aging Hippy is now under investigation for using illegal immigrants to build home and maintain lawn. When asked about this, Aging Hippy stated, "They have a right to make a living - whom I to judge just because they are here illegal? Their rates are lower than Americans who own lawn care services and run licensed contractor services." Also uncovered is Aging Hippy's many contributions to ACORN and the Obama campaign, with additional personal time given to help ACORN sign up the illegals working on his house and lawn so they can have a say in the upcoming election. "They've been well informed as to whom has their best interests at heart, and they promised to bring 20 of their friends to vote as well after ACORN is done processing them." The above is a work of fiction, but a great characterization of how liberals think, and think they are right in what they do -- despite the realities. We've been insulted by McCain's VP choice. She's set back women by 50 years. Mindless, clueless and she has no class. After people have had a chance to see who she is, they've tuned her out.
