I don't think he has it in him to back that up on his good days. And McCain doesn't have many good days.
Oct 15, 2008
Barack Obama and John McCain both will pursue the image of a strong leader in troublesome economic times as they meet Wednesday night for their third and final presidential debate.
Their face-off comes as Obama widens his lead in typically Democratic states and campaigns with an air of optimism about his prospects, while McCain seeks a way to gain ground and finds himself defending traditionally Republican states with less than three weeks left in the race.

2 The better candidate will lose on November 4th.....and there's just nothing we can do about it. |
|
Sigh, its about to be one hell of a debate I wonder who will say what like I should care both candidates still haven't satisfied any the issues presented to them in my book, that why I'm still undecided and probably go to the nearest person and say..... who you voting for.... they respond and I vote for the same person. This election has been amplified by the media, which has been biased to both candidates but we will see who will win this debate tonight.

1 If this is a quote from Obama, where in it does he mention ACORN? There are millions of community organizations in this country. You might even use one that has a food pantry or soup kitchin in your neighborhood where you or a member of your family has had to use from time to time. The Salvation Army is a community based organization......If McCain wins, you will be thankful for those community organizations because they will be the only one's to reach out and "help" your poor soul...... |

1 This won't happen..McCain at most will be "tolerated" by the media, then dismissed as too old. |

Sadly...to me and probably many other undecided voters both candidates seem to be shape-shifters changing their points of view each day(not literally) so it leaves the undecided voter on a sort of neutral position if not that causes them to go with the current... of other voters.... just my opinion. |

1 Consider the cases of Obama donors "Doodad Pro" of Nunda, N.Y., who gave $17,130, and "Good Will" of Austin, Texas, who gave more than $11,000—both in excess of the $2,300-per-person federal limit. In two recent letters to the Obama campaign, Federal Election Commission auditors flagged those (and other) donors and informed the campaign that the sums had to be returned. Neither name had ever been publicly reported because both individuals made online donations in $10 and $25 increments. "Good Will" listed his employer as "Loving" and his occupation as "You," while supplying as his address 1015 Norwood Park Boulevard, which is shared by the Austin nonprofit Goodwill Industries. Suzanha Burmeister, marketing director for Goodwill, said the group had "no clue" who the donor was. She added, however, that the group had received five puzzling thank-you letters from the Obama campaign this year, prompting it to send the campaign an e-mail in September pointing out the apparent fraudulent use of its name. ...Some critics say the Obama campaign hasn't done enough to stop Campaign Finance Fraud. This summer, watchdog groups asked both campaigns to share more information about its small donors. + The McCain campaign agreed; - The Obama campaign did not. "They could have done themselves a service by heeding the suggestions, said Massie Ritsch of the Center for Responsive Politics. http://www.newsweek.com/id/162403 |

1 McCain has to look like he is intelligent (like his opponent), he has to look like he chose a smart vp (too late for that one), he has to look like he is rational and not angry (like his opponent), he has to look presidential (like his opponent) and he has to look like he has leadership skills (like his opponent). If McCain can do any of the above "tricks in the book", he will retain some of the dignity and honor that he has lost with his own supporters over this election cycle and particularly when he made a strange choice of vp. Good luck to both candidates. |

2 Illegal immigration gun control abortion chief justices How OBAMA plans on fixing this country while not taxing the middle class, like he said he can and or will do... maybe we can hear about his asso. with a former terrorist a bigot rev. ACORN i know we are asking OBAMA to actually tell us about himself and hes had a month to memorise what people want to hear and he can cover the truth, since the liberal media through him softball questions the first 2 debates. |

1 McCain is not the better candidate. He has made rash and irrational decisions during this campaign, starting -- but by no means ending -- with the selection of Sarah Palin for VP. Obama has shown great strength of character through an unending barrage of racist, lying attacks, and he has won the hearts and minds of the American people by laying bear his background through two autobiographies, over 20 debates, and 20 months of a brutal primary and general electoral vetting process. He has laid out his plans, and made his campaign open to all who would like to see it. His administration will be the most transparent we have ever seen. I am one of those whose taxes will go up under an Obama administration. And I whole heartedly support, have campaigned, have donated, and will continue to work for him. I do so because under his administration, we will have a much more sound economy, a Supreme Court that represents and interprets a living Constitution, and legislative policy that will provide for a more just society for my progeny and my community. I want a safer, richer, and more just America than the one George W. Bush is leaving us. We can elect the man to help us get this country going again. Obama,'08! Yes, we can! |
