Wow. John McCain lost the debate in his supposedly BEST forum.

It just goes to show. Nothing STILL sounds like nothing even in the "town hall."

Obama did excellent! He covered all the bases. McCain looked like an old man wandering out in the street, not aware of where he is. Sad. Only criticism, is the question on sacrificing. Isn't John McCain lovin' this country enough to sacrifice his greedy lifestyle and give up some of his eight houses? Didn't here any questions on that, or Sarah Palin's husband and herself being involved in a group to annex themselves from the United States, since they're so unpatriotic and America hating.

how does a guy survive as a p.o.w. when so many not with the "silver" spoon did not....if his daddy is the commander of the pacific fleet well...golly gee..thats how...I wonder how my father has 2 purple hearts from 2 wars but this guy not only plays on his "service" (he crashed 5 planes) but has the god damn nerve to speak out against fellow soldiers (swift boat ads anyone)...he needs to really back up and take a good hard look at his life before he even thinks about comparing it to the ones who paid the real sacrifice...with their lives and wounds....

Another non substance debate.

Where are the real issues?

Since cheap credit and over stimulation caused this financial meltdown, then obviously we need more cheap credit and more stimulation to fix it. So says planner-in-chief Ben Bernanke. Apparently the markets and the people are done buying this baloney. When Bernanke started his remarks today, the Dow was at -120. By the time he announced his willingness to cut rates; it had fallen to -300. The old paradigm has failed and beating that horse will only deepen the crisis.

MAVERICK

Who is the tall dark stranger there?
Maverick is the name.
Riding the trail to who knows where
Luck is his companion
Gamblin' is his game.

Smooth as a handle on a gun
Maverick is the name.
Wild as a wind in Oregon
Blowin' up a canyon
Easier to tame.

Riverboat ring your bell!
Fare-the-well Annabelle!
Luck is the lady that he loves the best!

Nachetz to New Orleans
Livin' on jacks and queens
Maverick is the legend of the West.

A bit of history hiding behind Obama's pal Bill Ayers‘ ideology…

Approved by the All-Russia Central Executive Committee of the Soviets of Workers’, Soldiers’, Peasants’ and Cossacks’ Deputies, April 22, 1918.

I__ a son of the working people and a citizen of the Soviet Republic, assume the title of a soldier of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army.
Before the working class of Russia and of the whole world I pledge myself to bear this title with honor, to study the art of war conscientiously, and to protect, like the apple of my eye, all public and military property from damage and robbery.
I pledge myself to observe revolutionary discipline strictly and unflaggingly, and to obey without question all orders given by commanders appointed by the Workers’ and Peasants’ Government.
I pledge myself to abstain from any action derogatory to the dignity of a citizen of the Soviet Republic, and to restrain my comrades from such action, and to direct all my thoughts and deeds towards the great goal of the emancipation of all the working people.
I pledge myself to respond to the first call from the Workers’ and Peasants’ Government to defend the Soviet Republic against any dangers and attacks from any enemy, and to spare neither my strength nor my life in the fight for the Russian Soviet Republic and for the cause of socialism and the brotherhood of the peoples.
If ever, with evil intent, I should depart from this my solemn promise, may the scorn of all be my lot and may the stern hand of revolutionary law punish me.

Any Obamaite commits? And, try not to make an idiot out of yourself trying to defend the indefensible.

A bit of Barack Obama's pal Bill Ayers' political views... In an interview published in 1995, Ayers characterized his political beliefs at that time and in the 1960s and 1970s: "I am a radical, Leftist, small 'c' communist ...[Laughs] Maybe I'm the last communist who is willing to admit it.[Laughs] We have always been small 'c' communists in the sense that we were never in the [Communist] party and never Stalinists. The ethics of Communism still appeal to me. I don't like Lenin as much as the early Marx. I also like Henry David Thoreau, Mother Jones and Jane Addams [...]"[27] In 1970 Ayers was called "a national leader"[28] of the Weatherman organization and "one of the chief theoreticians of the Weathermen".[ 29] The Weathermen were initially part of the Revolutionary Youth Movement (RYM) within the SDS, splitting from the RYM's Maoists by claiming there was no time to build a vanguard party and that revolutionary war against the United States government and the capitalist system should begin immediately. Their founding document called for the establishment of a "white fighting force" to be allied with the "Black Liberation Movement" and other "anti-colonia l" movements[30] to achieve "the destruction of US imperialism and the achievement of a classless world: world communism."[3 1] In June 1974, the Weather Underground released a 151-page volume titled Prairie Fire, which stated: "We are a guerrilla organization [...] We are communist women and men underground in the United States

It begins with voters who made democRats a majority in congress. They are clearly responsible for the price increases you pay at the pump, at the grocery store, for utilities, etc.
For the most part the democRat Party demanded relaxed qualifications for home loans, etc. They assumed homes would hold their value and if a default occurred the home could simply be resold, etc. Of course they forgot to consider any,“what ifs.”
Relaxing home loan qualifications for people with low income is all well and fine, people need help. However, if congress wants to place lenders in that position then congress should help guarantee an economy that would be strong enough for the loans to be paid.
That could have been the case but the stick in the mud democRat Party placed the ideology of their Global Warming Marxist contributors ahead of the American Family. What many call a hoax allowed a 30 years in the making energy crisis to suddenly erupt and to be left unchecked by those sitting high above the fray.
In the two years democRats have controlled congress gasoline has risen over $2.00 per gallon. The results have been many people unable to pay the additional $4,000 to $7,000 plus per year cost increase for food, gasoline, utilities, goods, services, etc.
High energy costs placed families barely squeaking by in the nightmarish position of deciding between eating, driving or paying mortgages. And, airlines, auto makers, etc. were in the same position headed for bankruptcy.
Solutions suggested by the democRat Party to ease woes at the pump? Check your tire pressure and get a tune-up, drive less and don't forget drilling takes 10 years; never mind Barack Obama plans to be president for 8 years.
The democRat Party platform? Deny drilling, deny new refineries, deny clean coal, deny exploration, deny leasing, deny nuclear power, deny, deny, deny. Fearing a mass contributor backlash the democRat Party sidestepped common sense and pointed America towards gimmicks and gadgets that are not an answer and won’t be for many, many years.
Today the unchecked energy crisis has assisted in bringing Americans the mortgage and credit crisis and now the Wall Street Bailout. Until voters move stick in the mud democRats such as Obama, Obiden, Reid, Pelosi and Schumer out of the way so the energy crisis can be met head on...Nobody is going anywhere.

I think it was close and will have to see it over a couple times to make a rational and informed decission.

One thing I am sure of is... America has a tough road ahead of us for years to come. With the drastic changes in the economy, I don't beleive many promises will be upheld, actualy, I don't think many at all will be implemented in the next four years.

Who needs to be on any side? A complete backwoods hick with no tv or radio could see that Obama was a guy who gave a lot of insight in his answers. HE GAVE REAL ANSWERS!

McCain just mumbled a bunch of the same old crap the Bushes have been well known for. I'll do this...and I'll do that...and throw a bunch of fear in there, dwelling on our "enemies" of the world.

Republicans can't see anything but war because that's all they want. They cause the fall of nations for the sweeping up of resources and control. They dont care for you and I and thats the reason why so many decades of poverty and unemployment still infest America. The Republicans thrive on the poor.

Anyone who thought that old incompetent geyser said anything worth a dime, is either blind or stupid(or both).

It doesnt matter how much oil prices fall. The gas prices will stay high because this President is the cause of it. Clinton willed the prices down because he likes you. Bush hates you. He's a dirty bastard and McCain is no different.

If you dont vote Obama, you might as well break it to your kids that they will have no future.

WHILE THE REST OF US ARE LEFT TO STRUGGLE - AFTER BAILOUT, AIG EXECUTIVES HEAD TO RESORT

Less than a week after the federal government offered an $85 billion bailout to insurance giant AIG, the company held a week-long retreat for its executives at the luxury St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, Calif., running up a tab of $440,000, Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) said today at the the opening of a House committee hearing about the near-failure of the insurance giant.
