Democrats threaten to hit McCain on Iran-Contra link

After Sarah Palin condemned Obama for attending a political event hosted by Bill Ayers, a former leader of the 1960s radical group the Weather Underground, Democratic pundits and bloggers began chiding McCain for his time on the board of the US Council for World Freedom (CWF).

The CWF was used as a conduit for arms sales and other aid to the Contras, a right-wing guerrilla group in Nicaragua that also got backing from the CIA under Ronald Reagan.

REALITY---WHITE PEOPLE TRUST OBAMA---ALL OTHER AMERICANS DO NOT CARE ABOUT PALIN WORDS.

An older white southern woman looks at Obama.
As an older white Southern woman, casting the most important vote of my lifetime, I look at Barack Obama and I see:
A young black man growing up with a single white mom and hard-working Kansas grandparents, overcoming obvious odds, committing his life to the “one nation indivisible” for which we Americans still strive.
A college graduate driving a beat-up car into neighborhoods of poor and jobless whites, blacks, and Latinos— listening to them, taking action, recruiting local churches to help in his mission of public service.
A public servant whose striking leadership qualities move to Washington, supporting the needed change of direction there, developing fresh ideas to fix a failing economy and health care and energy plans.
A leader who grasps the big picture in the many crises we face, just as he did in opposing the Iraq war from the beginning. A leader respected by our allies and other world leaders. A smart, tough guy who is willing to listen to and work with them before plunging headlong into another morally wrong and disastrous war.
I see him as the candidate most ready to follow Jesus's command to love one another.

Sometimes people should just fade away instead of being totally destroyed by the ineptitude and long record which ain't so sparkly. Sorry John you chose to run - now it's time to destroy you - so you and Sarah don't ever come back to haunt us again. You Betcha. Maybe she should play with your d*ck more than you step on it.

What, no racist remarks yet? I must have gotten here too early or else the Obama fans forget how they like to operate.

McCain isn't a rascist even though he served on a board supporting that attitude and was also pretty biased against jews. He might be a bigot though since he basically hates anyone foolish enough to call him on his lies. In final analysis just a bitter nasty lieing old has-been who should have faded away gracefully as a Senator instead of reminding people he stopped being a hero a long, long time ago. Now if you really want to comment on McCain's "That one" over there" comment last night - have at it. Was it a memory blip on his part or a racial comment? Why don't you tell all of us?

It's obvious both candidates have no clue on the economy and said they'd cut without any details then later said they'd spend more.

Both had no clue about the Bail Out and why it has failed to stop over a Trillion in Stock Market/Retirement loses with no end in site.
I see "Futures" are down again this morning too...

Obama even contradicted himself about health care seeing that he's not a believer in Supply & Demand yet thinks that the government will be able to MAGICALLY CONVINCE INSURANCE COMPANIES TO LOWER THEIR PRICES by increasing the supply of participants!

These are just some of the reason why I don't like to see Senators nominated/become President. No real experience.

I think we're going to pay big time by elevating 2 guys that have been part of the problem all along.

Oh for God's sake grow up. It's a manner of speech, period. The only problem is that McCain forgot that he has to choose each word with care, contact his attorney first, then speak so he's not called a racist. There simply isn't enough time to go through that crap.

It's the same thing as a young AA caught speeding. He crys to the judge that he was stopped because he was black. He ignors the fact that he was driving 30 mph over the limit...that doesn't matter.(See my left hand? Good, now you can't see what the right is doing.)

Excuse me I didn't say it was a rascist comment albeit many took it that way even in your neck of the woods - just a demented forgetful old man having a brief loss of touch with reality at a very important moment in his time. Guess you shouldn't be on the board sitting next to members of a racist organization - it tends to paint you as one. What gravy for the goose...

McCain is a pilot who crashed 4-5 planes , mostly pilot error. That is something he claims to know.
Economy is something he claims NOT to Know anything about. He will kill medicare and your employer shared health care and gift it to Insurance companies who in a “de-regulated” system will be free to shaft you.

And the Obama campaign will get the full support and resources of the mainstream media to investigate any link. But Obama's link to a domestic terrorist, that is taboo, not something the American people care about.

Should we look at Palin/Abramoff connections while we are at it? Hmmm? The pipeline that God is building because of her?

right should be a non-issue unless McCain actually believed what the others were working toward. Guess Obama was on a different board - community development not world domination.
