What a disgraceful trip by Obama and his liberal press. This is nothing more than a shameful dog & pony show.

Just had lunch - people have complained that Obama has not visited these places. And now he will be, the whining continues. Think of it this way, having such a media following might be good for your campaign - ie any slips Senator Obama may have. Obama is alot more interesting to watch, to listen to and to follow BUT McCain now needs to use this time to focus on the issues, wake up, show more interest, look less bored and tell us why who he doesnt want "a time horizon" and why he knows nothing about economics and still vote for a leftover Bush.

About right now, McCain is drooling in his oatmeal. And you Bush/McCain fans are complaining about Obama visiting the troops?

Don't do it Obama! That just gives Hilary a good excuse to assassinate you, blame it on the terrorists, and claim to 'avenge you'!

I was about to post same thing and you beat me to it.(great minds think alike) Certain people don't like Sen Obama and they are going to find fault no matter what. The sad part is they continue to post smears, lies and plain garbage but they don't have anything to post about their candidate. I wonder why they spend so much time belittling Obama instead of sprouting what is good about Sen McCain. Hmm... maybe they don't know any? OBAMA '08'

I'm a troop and it's shameful he hasn't visited these places before now. We've been in Iraq & Afghanistan how long now and he's just now visiting? B.S. This nothing more than a political stunt and we the troops are smart enough to figure that out. We won't be voting for Obama this fall!

I feel inspired. Thanks for nothing once again Obama. Maybe we can hear more tall tales of that hope "kool-aid" his cult loves to pass around.

Maybe he will like it there and stay. Seriously, why do these politicians think that going to these place and talking to one or two chogie boys think they are getting the real story of whats happening there. Looks like he's commiting to rebuilding there too. Great we get to fund another Taj Mahal size embassy.

Perhaps VP Hillary will take over after Obama has an "a tragic accident." Kind of like when VP LBJ took over after the "hit" of JFK "Remember Vince Foster!"

First the reactionary right whines and complains about Obama not visiting the middle east enough, then they flip-flop and whine about him going. You people are masters in the field of mental distortion gymnastics. Iraq's president basically agreeing with Obama's plan for troop withdrawal from Iraq is likely to give you the kooks on the reactionary right huge fits of cerebral epilepsy when they try to process that fact. I personally could care less about him visiting the Middle East. I don't like all of the attention and praise he is getting for doing so.

His attention should have been paid to identifying the needs of the AMERICAN people. Now that he has the potential to become Commander-in-Chief, it is appropriate for him to shift his focus to Commander-in-Chief issues. Find fault where appropriate. This is one of those times.
