Nader has never been more irrelevant. If he cared about the country, he would have been around the last few years to jion the loyal opposition to the GOP treason. I think he waits until the GOP's check clears his bank account, and then crawls out from under his rock to hurt the Democrats.

He is just a grumpy old man, funding his retirement with turns on the national stage.

BTW, Ralph and supporters, thanks for inflicting Bush on the country.

You can support Nader, or you can give a damn about your country.

If you want to learn the main reason why so many people refuse to vote for Sen Obama and SERIOUSLY question the motives of the DNC and others for supporting this candidate…just read the links below.
If what you read below infuriates you- remember-as a voter you have several options-NOT JUST TWO OPTIONS (MCCAIN OR OBAMA)-

Sen Clinton HAS NOT assigned her delegates to anyone. As of today-all her delegates still belong to her so…no…she is not out of the race yet. These links provide information (factual-well sourced where applicable) and the opinion pieces are ‘intelligent and rational”. Do not include trashy remarks or tons of adjectives-JUST FACTS as to why the person believes what he/she is telling you-ie what is their opinion based on.

You can help to revive the Hillary Campaign, AND/OR Help Cynthia McKinney (Green Party) and /or Nader/Gonzalez. All are EXCELLENT candidates.
Check out their accomplishments in the past.

If you believe that we need a third party system-visit
www.votenader.org
(Nader/Gonzalez)

And

http://democratsforrealchange.info/
(McKinney/Clemente).

You can support the right to have many party candidates appear on ballots and if you choose-in November- you do not have to vote for the third party candidates.

PLEASE AT LEAST JUST GIVE THEM THE RIGHT TO APPEAR ON THE BALLOTS SO THAT FROM NOW UNTIL NOVEMBER THEY WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN PUBLIC DEBATES CONCERNING THIS CAMPAIGN.

ALSO HELP THEM GET A FOUNDATION FOR FUTURE ELECTIONS. LOOK WHAT A TWO PARTY SYSTEM HAS DONE TO SEN CLINTON (& OTHER FORMER CANDIDATES)…AND TO OUR COUNTRY.

Visit their websites-see what help they need from you. You CAN support ALL 3 campaigns but –obviously- in November- You get to vote for 1 . Send them a financial contribution-WHAT EVER AMOUNT YOU CAN AFFORD TO- and/or sign petitions so that they can appear on your state’s ballot in November. Pass info on to your family, friends,co-workers.

PLEASE EDUCATE YOUR FELLOW VOTERS.

As it stands presently...this election process has become a choice between democracy (McCain's campaign process) and totalitarianism (DNC & Sen Obama's campaign process)

this is to Summer Rain - I do believe that you are one person, and speaking for yourself. I usually like (much of) the substance of your comments, but sometimes not your tone or language. I love your name and want you to be wonderful all the time, so that is why I criticize you. It sounds silly, but I just don't want the real thing - summer rain - to be discredited.(We have had too much of that in reality in Iowa lately.) I, also, note that Athy is promoting John McCain, as the bottom line in all her (his?) posts. I accused the person before of being a clandestine McCain supporter - and she(he) replied that she(he) had never voted for a Republican President. Of course, an imposter would claim that, wouldn't she(he)? I notice that this person wants us to support Hillary, Cynthia or Nader (all presumably taking away Obama votes) and does not mention Bob Barr (Libertarian) or Ron Paul (where a write- in is provided for). I might agree with an honest person taking some stand in favor of 3rd party rights, but I prefer that it be proportional representation in a legislative body. I also agree with you that someone who votes for a 3rd party, rather than Obama, is helping the Bushies and McCain.(Even Barr voters and Paul voters should prefer Obama, if they really were true to civil libertaarian principles). But I don't like your hasty comment about Paul and Nader winning the "nut and racist" vote. Some of the votes for each would come from that corner, I agree. But what we have to fear - if we do not want McCain - is that the really decent, well-meaning, intelligent people who are part of Paul's support group, and the same type who are a part of Nader's, will be so unrealistic and "purist" in their civil liberties views and foreign policy views ("treason to vote for FISA" types, and "horrible mistake to send more troops to Afghanistan" types) that they will vote for Nader or Paul (or Greens or Barr) when they should see that this is a case where 3/4 of what they want is better than being stuck with everything they don't want (which is McCain and those he will bring into power with him - or keep in power from the George W legacy - horrors!) If the good folks who are toying with third party votes for highly honorable and highly intelligent reasons would please vote for Obama, and then get into the Democratic party and try to make sure the civil libertarian and peace-wing of the party is strengthened by their continuing presence, I think I can guarantee enough "regular" Democrats would welcome them - Dennis Kucinich, Delahunt, Lynn Woolsey, Barbara Lee, the entire get out Iraq caucus, etc. And please, summer rain, remember that rain is supposed to put out fire, not fan it! your comments can be provacative to the extreme right-wing nut types (see, I'm doing it, but I'm just discussing it with you - this is not directed at them!) and you - we - will never win a battle of insults. It is a case of specialization. It is their one talent, and they practice it constantly and get very good at being mean. Whereas we have too nmany other things to do -- such as informing ourselves from reliable sources, and rational thinking, and we are amateurs at insults. Think it over -- watch Colbert Report. Also, feed your soul by going to youtube and listening to Sissel and Groban - it eases anger out, lets hope in. Nobel Peace prize, Groban and group, especially - Imagine!

I would vote for Nader, but he doesn't stand a chance and he should stay out of it. It is because of Nader that the scales were tipped to allow Dub-Ya Bush to steal the election 8 years ago.
