McCain gaffes pile up; critics pile on

McCain will turn 72 the day after Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) accepts his party’s nomination for president at the age of 47, calling new attention to the sensitive issue of McCain’s advanced age three days before the start of his own convention.

Give the old man a break, he has mental issues that younger people could never understand till they are as old as he is.

Remember how reagan was always forgetting things?

You have it backwards, it Obama who keeps piling up the gaffes.

I have no problem with McCain's age.

Obama is a three-year senator without a single important legislative achievement to his name, a former Illinois state senator who voted "present" nearly 130 times. He has never reached across the isle as McCain and only 5 other senators have done. Yet, he says he's for unity?

The gaffe is bad on so many levels. It's points to a couple of things. One, McCain is confused about who's struggling with whom. It's Iran and Afghanistan that are connected. McCain didn't even misspeak one country over another. He couldn't have meant Iran, because it doesn't even touch Pakistan, and he couldn't have met Afghanistan because it does not remotely touch Iraq. Hi age is showing, and he is not the representing the sharpest tool in the shed.

America, wake up... if a President McCain couldn't differentiate the countries in the Middle East and know who they border, how can you expect the man to put his finger on the trigger? He'd more likely end up shoot someone he knew in the face!

McSame is more dangerous than a wart.

This country needs someone who is alot smarter than a wart, alot more tuned in than a wart, alot less painful than a wart.

We need a wart that knows what it is doing, a wart that knows about the most important countries in this world, a wart that will be respected by its own citizens, a wart that will elevate this country into being respected by the world, a wart that won't change to a cancerous wart.

Our choice of wartdom is ours!

Why is McCain complaining about the press not covering him? If they start he will have tons more "Old man yells at clouds" moments to show his forgetfullness and thinking we are still fighting the Cold War. He should hope the media keeps covering Obama and hope Obama messes up because that is the only chance McCain has to become president.....by default.

Why are they not going to air his error? Obama's mistakes are always aired and then he explains them or apologizes for them. I don't think this was an error on McCain's part that had anything to do with age. I think he just did not know his facts.

Obviously being pompous and high above the fray is catching on...every two-bit journalist and bozo under the sun is suddenly mimicking the astute know-it-all jackass General Barack Obama.
Apparently all it takes to sidestep military service and go straight to the rank of General is to be a community organizer and junior senator then fly to Iraq and like magic you're in command of the entire operation, advising everyone from Maliki to General Petraeus.
So all this arrogance permeating the airwaves is rubbing off...expect the forum's socialists to be flexing their mealy mouths and lending their two-cents. We’ll see them standing tall on a platform advising John McCain like he’s the candidate who is an inept pathetic gutless buffoon who voted against the mission in Iraq and voted against the surge…On second thought, Obama and his despicable treasonous dirty diaper democRat ilk do not have a platform.

The day John McCain steps on a podium on Memorial Day, a day to honor those who died during military service, and says this: "On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong" as did the inept, brain dead, no protocol Barack Hussein Obama then and only then will the gutless lowlife stinking garbage on this forum have a podium.

There seems to be a bunch of dirty diaper democRats spewing propaganda which contends John McCain came home from Vietnam saw his wife was broken and battered from a car wreck and immediately left her for his present wife...that is a lie.
John McCain and his wife did not seperate until 7 years later. His ex-wife says he's a good man. So to all you lowlifes who continue to spew this lie, eat sht.

Let’s hear from some dirty diaper democRat saboteurs…

• Democrat John Kerry, Feb. 2007: "The simple fact is that sending in over 20,000 additional troops isn't the answer--in fact, it's a tragic mistake. It won't end the violence; it won't provide security; ...it won't turn back the clock and avoid the civil war that is already underway; it won't deter terrorists, who have a completely different agenda; it won't rein in the militias."
• Democrat Dennis Kucinich, Feb. 2007: "It has been proven time and time again that troop surges don't work."
• Democrat Harry Reid, Apr. 2007: "The war is lost... This surge is not accomplishing anything."
• Democrat Christopher Dodd, Apr. 2007: "We don't need a surge of troops in Iraq... there is no military solution in Iraq. To insist upon a surge is wrong."
• Democrat Barack Obama, Jul. 2007: "My assessment is that the surge has not worked."
• Democrat Dick Durbin, Aug. 2007: "By carefully manipulating the statistics, the Bush-Petraeus report will try to persuade us that violence in Iraq is decreasing and thus the surge is working. Even if the figures were right, the conclusion is wrong."
• Democrat Jan Schakowsky, Aug. 2007: "I believe overall the surge is a failure....It’s clear to me we cannot win..."
• Democrat Joe Biden, Sep. 2007: "We should stop the surge and start bringing our troops home...[When asked whether Iraq closer to political reconciliation than before the surge began, and would continuing the operation stop the killing between Sunnis, Shi'ites and Kurds?]...The answer to both those questions is no."
• Democrat John Kerry, Sep. 2007: ""The president's escalation ... has failed to achieve its goal of bringing about a resolution of the fundamental conflict between Sunni and Shi'ite."
• Democrat Chris Dodd, Sep. 2007: "It pains me to say that ... the surge tactic is a failure — and that failure is reconfirmed everyday by unfolding events in Iraq."
• Democrat Barack Obama, Oct. 2007: "[The surge is a] complete failure... Iraq’s leaders are not reconciling. They are not achieving political benchmarks."
• Democrat Harry Reid, Nov. 2007: "It is indisputable that the goals of the surge have failed."
• Democrat Joe Biden, Nov. 2007: "This whole notion that the surge is working is fantasy."
• Democrat Nancy Pelosi, Feb. 2008: "There haven't been gains [in Iraq]... The gains have not produced the desired effect, which is the reconciliation of Iraq. This is a failure. This is a failure."
• Democrat Carl Levin, Apr. 2008: "...the purpose of the surge as announced by President Bush last year... has not been achieved"
• Democrat Joe Biden, Apr. 2008: "The purpose of the surge was to bring violence in Iraq down so that its leaders could come together politically. Violence has come down, but the Iraqis have not come together... We Democrats understand that this war must end..."
• Democrat Bill Richardson, Jun. 2008: "[when asked if he was ready to concede that John McCain had been right in proposing the surge, said] "Absolutely not."

Obama's gaffe is fine though. He's just a little tired, huh?

As you know, Barack Obama is still trotting across the globe, sinking three pointers, ignoring military counsel and healing the occasional leper. Amidst all the hullabaloo, these Obama comments regarding Israel and terrorism have been sadly overlooked:

“Um, let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s.”

“What I think can change is the ability of the United States government and a United States president to be actively engaged with the peace process and to be concerned and to recognize the legitimate difficulties that the Palestinian people are experiencing right now and recognize that it is not only in the interest of the Palestinian people that their situation improves - I believe that it is in the interest of the Israeli people…That’s why terrorism is so counterproductive as well as being immoral because it makes I believe the Israelis want to dig in and simply think about their own security regardless of what’s going on beyond their borders.”
