Oh that's hilarious. I think she should wait to be asked. Personally I'd rather she was not the VP but either Obama has got my vote.

Ain't gonna happen.

It takes time to learn Clinton-speak but it's worth the effort.

The only two words in Hillary's statement that count are "open" and "if". She's "open" to being VP. She never said she wants to be. She never said she would accept. She never said she had accepted Obama as the winner.

And she said "if" it helps. With the Clintons "if" is the longest word in the English language.

This is the classic Clinton non-statement. Before you believe anything from the Clintons, ask yourself if they said anything. Try it. It makes reading these stories a lot easier.

Having her on the ticket is contrary to Obama's entire campaign theme. Change. Leaving the politics of yesterday behind.

She is STILL running against him - but wants to be his running mate?

Like a wife who gets your ass kicked because her drunken mouth started a fight in a bar, insults you, leaves you lieing there on the floor, and leaves with her friends. And then asks you if you still love her later on. Give me a break. Divorce her ass and move on. She is old politics - she should be McCain's VP - he needs a Goldwater babe.

Bush - Clinton - Bush didn't work. Clinton - Bush - Clinton won't either. Change is a good thing. Get used to it.

At one time I was open to this idea, but she has changed my mind. I hope he picks someone else, I would love it if Edwards was open to the idea!

No. If Hillary is V.P., OBAMA will meet the same fate as LBJ had for JFK.

NO NO NO NO. The Clintons will NEVER let him do his job..........and the "hitman" will SHO come if she is VP because Obama's assassination will ENSURE she is Prez... However, she does wants America to know that even with her stepping up to Pres from VP after Obama is killed, that she EARNED it, and that is why she campaigned even after it was clear she would not win.

Everything and I mean everything is a strategy with these Clintons. I don't trust anything about them after she proved her reckless irregard of rule, law and order, the democrats, the RFK, the whites comment breakdown... I am just threw with her

good grief, it's like a satire of a cartoon based upon Charlie Brown and Lucy and Snoopy, and Linus and his blanket, and maybe Karl Rove as PigPen, only that would not be nice to pigpen -- one could imagine the scenarios -- use your imagination and laugh, so as not to cry! thank you to the other commenters -- they eased the blow! or try Roy Rogers and Trigger (and Hillary is not Dale Evans!)-- head her off at the pass, don't let her get through. Maybe a satire on Blazing Saddles would be more apt! Anyhow, our hero should be an unlikely Clark-Kent-Superman type, sort of policy wonky, superficially not a heroic fighter, but capable of it in moments of grave peril for the planet (and the USA and the Democratic Party). Who else, but our old standby Al Gore, the boy next door who has made good. We really should draft him for VP, he could "hit the ground running" in January, do his daytime job as ordinary VP, then save the planet as a bonus. Or did I see Enchanted too many times? The only question that remains is just when and how publicly and how sweetly he should kiss Tipper! Send Bill and Hillary back to fantasy-land with genuine good wishes -- restored from the roles of extra players, to the roles of hero and heroine in their own proper world -- dignified, chastened but unbowed, able to contribute as is proper for a Senator and former First Lady, and an ex-President, who still have useful roles to play in the world. Too bad about the very real allegorical dragons that remain to be faced by all our players.....including ourselves. When in despair, or disgusted, or had enough -- go see a Patrick Dempsey movie. It helps.
