Superdelegates put Obama within mathematical reach

Barack Obama's wave of superdelegate endorsements puts him within reach of the Democratic presidential nomination by the end of the primary season on June 3 — even if he loses half of the remaining six contests.

It should be the voters who decide who becomes the nominee not the Superdelegates. All Superdelegates are are politicians who are looking for favors. Some Change!! Sounds like old politics to me. The rich and powerful get to decide who gets in the White House. How they can support this lying bigot is beyond me! If Obama is voted into office, I see another Bush in the White House. Hillary or McCain 08'!!

Super-delegates, are like rats running from a sinking ship. They have waited to near the end hoping to pick the winner and act like they were there all the time. We know they are only covering their a$$Es and are a bunch of wimps sponging off our tax money because the system is broken and allows it. We have really big problems in Washington and it will be worse next year is Obama gets elected.....Wait and see!

The IDIOTS are abandoning Hillary now because THEY ARE MORONS. What will they do, when Hillary is prez, and won't get the jobs that the idiot promised them? Will they have to give back the money that he paid them to endoree him? More importanly, will his mobster fiancers let him continue to live?et's hope they do. Even though Obama is a complete IDIOT, I don't wish anything bad for him. I just want him and his bimbo wife to go home to AFRICA and stay there for eternity.

caliperman, what kind of kool aid have you been drinking. that you can deny reality in so big a way. hillary is gone. fl and mi will not count in a meaningful way. in other words their votes will not affect the outcome of nomination. hillary may be hoping to be picked as vp and then she can cause a mysterious see vince foster accident to occur to obama and get pres. that way. that is the only way she is gonna get there, the only way.

superdelegates wanted:

morals, ethics, backbone and independent thought NOT required...
must be opportunistic and self-serving with an ability to lie with a straight face to better your position ... a good sense of wind direction helpful.

Obama clearly is unstoppable. Yet Hillary with 35 years of experience with zero achievements is cannot care less about Obama's victory.
As a famous 'Clintonian', Hillary continues running even if the race was over because she wants to split the Dems into two parties that will run independently again McCain.
Hillary cannot care less about the Democratic Party since the Clintons believe that the party should serve their selfish needs first.
The Clintons plan to make the delegate and super-delegate conference in Denver Colorado in June a big show that will cause Obama to leave the party and run as Independent.
It's all about her own career and the Clinton's dynasty and their greed that is important to Hillary and Bill and all the rest is worthless.

Nah. The concept of "Superdelegates" is a Democratic party thing. It was made up for and by the Democratic party, and though Republicans do utilize the concept in a very few instances, by and large, the premise is purely a Democratic party one...

I hope Hillary supporters can support Obama when they finally wake up and realize that shes lost, even with the delegates in Florida and Michigan Shes a goner! I believe theres only 366 delegates up for grabs considering Obama was not even on the ballot in Michigan they would end up splitting that states delegates in half , Hillary would take Florida for sure in a re-election but not by much of a margin after her terribly run campaign and people are just plain sick of her negative attacks and bologna. Face it Obama is going to be the DNC Nominee.

I think it's funny to see all of these "superdelegates" jump ship and run to the opposition for the sake of "unifying a party" (all the mean while, they are undermining the electorate process and the will of the people). Hillary will become the first Democrat in history to lose the delegate count at the party's national convention while winning the popular vote of the land...

It's the same thing people were all up in arms about in the 2000 election, and yet, when it favors their candidate, they don't see a problem with it.{ugh}

Obama is winning in every count you can come up with. SuperDels, Popular, States. Keep trying.

You probably also thought Bush won the popular vote.

The voters DID decide. The superdelegates are just going along with their decision.
