Obama Won’t Rule Out Easing Clinton Campaign Debt

By Jeff Zeleny New York Times WOODBURN, Ore. – Senator Barack Obama said today that he would not rule out the possibility of helping Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton retire her campaign debt to bring her into the fold and unify Democrats. But he said no discussions have taken place yet.

Obama is such an honorable man. I respect him for his generosity and his desire to unite this country.

Why not? He has bought the "Super delegates", he might as well buy Hillary. Actually, Tony Rezko bought it all a long time ago. Sorry, I just can't let everything pass without comment.

And you're buying this because? Do you assume there are no strings attached, something in it for him perhaps?

Honorable? I think not. Out of the kindness of his heart? Not a chance. He is buying something from her, count on it.

Tell Oprah and Tony Resko to keep their money. This election has from what I can see already wrecked the democratic party. I mean to leave it up to the superdeligates is a joke. Why should they decide. If the votes of Florida and Michigan had been counted a long time ago Obama would not have been so successful. The biggest joke is that they call their party a democracy but don't count everyone's vote. I for one after this have proudly switched over to the independent party. I will never vote for OBAMA and his false promise of CHANGE. He should go back to the senate and practice changing Washington and then perhaps I would believe in his promises. I for one need you to show me what you can do first. He is not the first to make promises that he won't keep. Look at tax return people see where his money goes. Then perhaps you will see where the changes he promises will be done.

Typical. When nothing else works, Obama hints
that he's willing to pay a bribe, and calls it a campaign contribution.
That's what he learned from lobbyists with whom he deals.
I don't believe the man is too swift
He shot mimself in the foot by saying that he would have left the congregation etc.
Now he says he might be willing to contribute to Clinton's campaign. Providing she does what? He couches it by saying he's doing it in the interest of party unity. Baloney, he's hinting at a bribe.

Clinton is not going to take some worthless handout from Barack and neither would anyone who had any sense. The only person desperate enough to be Barack VP would be John Kerry. I still wish Jonh Edwards was in the race. He would have made a great president.

Who cares? Count Hilldoggy BOW WOW Barf Bag will be sent back to NY soon. She lost and that's all I cared about. She is evil. I will settle for an Obama or McCain administration. Obama first then McCain if necessary. I won't have to hear her shrill voice on Jan 20, 2009 next year to take the oath of office. You can't put a price on that.

if hillary had any respect - she will tell obama to f*** off. That she can't be bought with soros' internet hate money! If she did, it would make her look weaker - and forget about 2012!!!

Just because obama used his campaign hate money to buy superdelegates & keep florida/michigan voters shut up, don't mean that hillary will stoop as low as him to be bribed!!!!!

And now we know that not only is obama a racist, an elitist, and a anti-jew, but he is also a anti-elderly!!!!!!!!!

obama likes to insult all those he hates and then takes NO reponsibility for it!!! obama is a pathetic liar!!!!!!!!

without question this race will be seen as the beginning of the end. The end of Bush. The end of the Clintons. The end of a “slowed down” economy and a foreign policy predicated on “We’re the United States, we can blow you up.” The end of Karl Rove tactics. The end of incompetence.

Come now Jimmy, tells what you really think. Don't hold back or sugar coat it. It warms my heart to read posts like this. Watching Count Hilldoggy and her minions flail around like a windmill is like a Hallmark moment. Obama won and Hilldoggy lost.

May I have seconds?

Months ago, Obama sat down with the teams of reporters from the two leading Chicago papers and answered every question they had about his relationship with Rezko.
Transcript:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/ed...

He followed up ten days later by delivering thousands of documents they had asked for. Both papers subsequently declared that Obama had done nothing unethical.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/ed...

Only ignorant people still drag that old dead story up.
BTW, Rezko's trial ended last week, and the big political story was that Rezko's business partner had contacted Karl Rove and tried to get the US Attorney on the case fired.

The rest of your assertions are equally untrue. Did you know that Fox News viewers are the most uninformed in the US?

If Fla and MI were seated and allowed to vote, obama would still win the popular vote count. If Fla and MI had not broken the rules they agreed to in 2007, there would be no question of their seating.

Barack Obama's record of legislation passed is on his website, and it is impressive. The rest of your rant makes no sense at all.

To Clinton’s supporters like you, there’s nothing wrong with Mr. Obama and the elections process Hillary's just happens to lose. If you vote for McCain because of that, then you’re joking with your country future. In this hard time of America economic, McCain will still continue fighting unnecessary war in Irag, continue wasting young Americans women and men lives in Irag, continue wasting billions of dollar in Irag, and people are facing hard time economic back home. You must not complain because he never promised you to stop the war, after all, he said he knew less about economic. I bet he will even attack Iran. Well this is not my own business, I’m not American and I don’t live in America. I just want peace in the whole world.

Here is a gift for the low information voters on this board. This is an explanation from the NYT. I would particularly like to call your attention to the last statement:

Fundraising is tough; fundraising for a perceived loser is even tougher. How will the candidate pay off her debt? The best shot, paradoxically, is seeking the help of her chief rival. It's more than probable that she and Obama could work out a deal: She gets out of the race, saving him the millions he would spend in the remaining primaries, and he would help put her campaign back in the black. That could be accomplished by headlining fundraisers for her, and leaning on his donors to cut her a check. "It would be a matter of mending fences," says Scott Thomas, another former FEC chairman. "If his campaign fundraisers are able to help her retire her debt, she's in a much more comfortable position and would be far better disposed (to help him in the general election)."

Adds Toner: "That's very common, particularly when you're trying to join ranks to help your defeated colleagues."

Word is that Obama will open a separate fund and call for donations. I would personally kick in $25 just to make the deluded, greedy, lying, corporate shill STFU!
