Hillary Agonistes: Why Doesn't She Concede?

As the odds get longer and longer, the obvious question is: Why doesn't Hillary Clinton gracefully concede defeat and throw her support behind her party's defacto nominee, Barack Obama?

OK, some people are saying I should drop out at this point, but I have no plans to drop out whatsoever. I am taking this all the way to the end of the primaries and to the convention. The media is saying I can't win, but I owe it to the voters that have joined me in this fight to continue my ascension to the white house. Here is how I can still win this thing:

According to the latest totals on CNN, Obama has 1,881 total convention delegates to my 1713, giving him a lead of 168. Michigan and Florida will count, getting his lead down to 46. Then if the DNC rules committee were to also decide to count West Virginia just 6 times instead of only once it would propel me into the lead by 4 full votes.
You know, I was talking to voters in West Virginia last week and a woman came up to me and said that she wished she could vote for me more than once. That got me thinking: no democratic candidate has won the presidency without West Virginia since 1916. It's people are the core of America: hard working, uneducated, and white. They SHOULD count more than other states. Looking at those West Virginia voters during my glorious victory speech last night, they were happy, yes, but there was an emptiness in knowing that their votes would count just once. We need to give these voters their full due respect by giving them each 6 votes. My campaign will make our case to the DNC rules committee on May 31. I'm sure the honorable members will see that to deny our claim would be to deny the hard working, uneducated, white people throughout the entire country!

She won't quit because I don't want her to quit. I'm a supporter. I sent her a check and I don't want her to quit. I'm a life long Democrat. I've waited 8 years to get rid of Bush and now to see my party give this election away to McCain makes me sick to my stomach. This isn't American idol. This isn't dancing with the stars. This is is serious business and I don't want her to quit. Obama is going to lose and everyone that wants her to quit, all of the Obama supporters, well you won't be able to find a single one of you with an electron microscope.... just like all the former Bush zealots.

Don't quit Hillary. Obama is certain defeat for the Democrats. Certain defeat.

she is genetically unable to admit nobody wants her or at least not the majority. she is trying to destroy obama so he will not be electable and trying to recoup the 20 million she owes herself. she if she raises 20 million dollars, will pay herself back first and then any debtors otherwise. count on it.
i believe obama will let her win wv and ky by big margins so she can collect enough money to retire her debt. then he will shut door on her and say it is time to go, hillary. here come the people with the strait jackets. aint nobody in dem. party got cojones to tell her she is finished. what are they scared of. she looks like a foolish moron to me.

Be calm Dennis. Did you not read my strategy above? You shall rest at my feet in the White House.

I'm for Obama and I hope she stays in it till the end so it will exploit how much of an idiot she really is, and that she could care less about the democratic party and I think the DNC should humiliate her, then banish her to a cold dark cave where her and her lesbian lover can finally come out.

First of all, this is all the Hil-Bilys know. How to bilk the masses??. Don't we pay them enough "wakin around money"??. She claimed contributions of $109 million, where is that money?? Hidden in accounts in the Caymans?? She claims she's $20 million in debt.... And the farmer hauled another load away.... If that's true I sure don't want her handling $1.75 trillion. Why can't the voters see these pikers for who they really are?? An adolesent with plastic grass in the back of his pick-um-up truck, and a habitual liar, who is better than P.T. Barum. "There a sucker born every minute and two to take em". Kick their sorry behinds back to Hope, AR.....

I think the question is silly. At this point Why SHOULD She Concede? She's still getting thousands of votes and the remaining states should have a voice. Moveon.org , Huffingtonpost, and Obama groupies should just calm down and wait. Is 3 weeks gonna kill you?

Well said. The Soros and move.on crowd were certain they could manipulate this or any other election with their smears and rants. Now that home chick has decided not to go quietly into the night, they're going koo-koo birds. They can't imagine anyone having the temerity to not knuckle under and accept their anointed ones.

Personally, I think these guys are really dangerous. And apparently I'm not alone. Now many in the Democrat party see them for the king makers they want to be, and like me, don't want to be part of their thinly disguised neo-fascism.

Keep going Hill, no Dem has won the White House since the Cub won the series (well, almost)without winning West Virginia!

The Hillary folk keep saying that no Dem has won without W.Va. since 1916. Number one, that statistic refers to the general election and not the primaries, so Hillary hasn't won it yet. Number two, a non-white nor a female have ever been the nominee of their party so throw all of the statistics out the window. This is going to be a very different election than we've ever seen before no matter what.

Hopefully someone that is an American and loves this country and that will sing "The Star Spangled Banner", salute OUR Flag and wear a flag pin is concerned enough to NOT give up. I am afraid for the future of our country if Obama gets into the White House. A new era in history will start to which will probably be our downfall.

Hillary supporters it's too late. The numbers Hillary must get in the next primaries are impossibly large. Simply winning the rest of them isn't enough. She needs to get higher percentages than she's ever gotten in the entire race.

Do you want the Democratic Party to win? Do you want to get out of Iraq? Or do you want McCain and 100 years of war? If you want the latter then go ahead and keep telling Hillary to keep on running. If you want the former tell Hillary that at this point the best thing to do is to step out of the race and endorse Obama. Hillary, you don't want to be remembered as the one that cost the Democrats the election in 2008 do you?

Yeah, I know, my main point is the Soros and Move.on machines. They want everyone to have a right to choose, as long as it agrees with their decision. I don't like being pushed around.

As an aside,I voted Barak in Ca primary, but have since moved away because of the views he espouses in unguarded moments. And after Cape Girardeau, he's starting to make Dan Quayle look bright.

Double-check that ABC story about Cape Girardeau. They've added some back & forth between the Obama campaign and the story writer and the facts are debatable. Just more smear tactics from the Stephanopoulos network.

To Time Is Now

your support of Obama will insure that Senator McCain wins in the fall... Senator Obama is nice, even inspirational... but once the honeymoon and infatuation gives way to reality of real voting he will be crushed by the masses and McCain will win and we all lose.. Obama IS the problem not the solution... only after the dust settles will you realize .... then what will you do? apologize for your niavete? just like Bush supporters apologize daily to the men and women that have died or wounded in this bogus war.. you will be nowhere to be found on November 9, 2008 when McCain wins and Obama loses.. so I want to thank you now... for nothing...

Let her run...what are you so afraid of? Losing?

Silly dixie boy keep supporting your delusion...but he won't win and then you won't have to play military anymore...cuz it will be the real thing when McCain reimplements the draft.

No Coalition...No Win in November!

Dear Deluded African American,

I hope she stays in till the end so the Repubs will see her full net worth and ask her to be McCain's running mate then you and all your silly deluded Obama supporters can just forget about ever winning anything again.

Silly left wing liberal...you can't win without the moderates. That's why you have to keep your black liberal religious hysteria in check. Also it doesn't matter if he's black if he's an elitist its the kiss of death. Moderates can't stand that kind of shit.

So racist black man...go register new voters and even visit the cemetaries for additional names but it won't be enough without the moderates.

THE DEMOCRAT'S FUZZY PLEDGED DELEGATE MATH

(The Math that is so often touted by Senator Obama and his Obamabots)

Senator Clinton scored victories in Ohio (10%), Texas (4%), and Pennsylvania (10%)....but due to the Democrats’ quirky rules, those three large states added up to a net gain of only 14 delegates for Senator Clinton — an advantage all but offset alone by Senator Obama’s win in South Carolina, a net pickup of 13 delegates for him.

And...we all know that South Carolina will turn TRUE BLUE come November. ;-)

It's no wonder Senator Obama and his Obamabots are so in love with this "fuzzy" pledged delegate math.

Obama didn't make the rules, he's just playing by them. Some of Hillary's people did help make the rules.
