Edwards gives long-awaited endorsement to Obama

Democrat John Edwards has given his long-awaited endorsement to Barack Obama. It's a major boost from a former presidential rival as Obama tries to shrug off Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is determined to press ahead.

I am moving away from the democrats and going for McCain.

Obama just doesn't any any experience at anything except talk. And plenty can do that.

Obama = Rookie.

Someone name something good he has done while in office. HAHAHAHAHAA! Someone tell me how a man who has atttended a racist church for 20 years is not a racist?

Former Sen. John Edwards is endorsing Sen. Barack Obama's presidential candidacy Wednesday evening, in a dramatic attempt by the Obama campaign to answer concerns regarding Obama's appeal...

Bet his wife is not in agreement with him on this one. And I have to wonder what's in it for John Edwards...does he think he has a chance for VP?

Right you are Jimmy & the person above you who kicked this off. Edwards is a l o s e r. Absolute weakest of all Dems.

I wish Hillary would rise to the top. If not, I'm jumping ship. Then it's Mccain for me. That Obama hasn't got a brain of his own. He's just a frontman for the muslim terrorists. Black will tear this country apart if Obama gets in.

I agree 100%. Obama has to grow more experience. McCain has what it takes to lead this country.

I believe that Edwards thinks that Obama is about to win the nomination and is going to hop on his band wagon hoping that Obama will choose him as a running-mate. Fat chance. Until today I have respect for Edwards, but 48 hours ago he was on Wolf Blitzer saying that he didn't want to get in the middle of things right now and that the American people should decide. He said that he felt endorsing anyone would cause a greater divide in the democratic party, and yet today he is going to endorse someone, sounds fishy to me.

To all you Clinton supporters saying you'll vote McCain: Do you realize you'll be voting for someone who is against EVERYTHING Hillary stands for? Do you want a continuation of the war in Iraq? How about overruling Roe v Wade? Hey, I know. Let's have some more tax cuts for the wealthy and screw the middle class. And while we're at it, let's take away all the progress Hillary has made with healthcare.

Hillary and Obama are 90% similar on every issue. If you can't see that, then go ahead. Let's have another 4 more years of Bush & Co. just so you all can prove your point.

This is the United States of AMERICA, not United States of CLINTON.

too little too late; edwards didn't even carry his own state. perhaps there has been some side deal or assurances that might employ some of Edward's new-found psuedo-populism. hard to tell.

there was a short period where his endorsement might have meant something.

There are but a few more primaries and Clinton beat Obama by 41 points.
41!!!!
w. virginia an essential win if the dems were to take the presidency.

it's like the media wants you to forget it and downplay this champion woman who will not, and should not quit...
clinton won with young voters, educated and well-to-do voters, as well as the working poor.
they want to make this sotry go away.
Edwards is a non-player at this point.
If Obama's the nominee, I will vote for him, but he will lose.
Hillary is about to kick some more ass in the upcoming primaries and she is the absolute Queen of getting those very few potential swing states.
Obama is lackluster and damaged goods,
as is Edwards.
it's not about personalities or cult of personality. It's about winning in November. That's the whole game.
'losing' is not even in Hillary's lexicon.

CHANGE! Change? We voted for change in '06 and the Democrats took the House.

Food prices up 45%
Fuel Costs up 65%
Unemployment up 10%

Change is not always good, BOTH parties are selling us out!

Barack Hussein Obama has promised $967 BILLION dollars in additional spending!! We're already in a $8 trillion dollar deficit, & "cutting spending in various areas" won't get it done.
Obama = HIGHER TAXES!!!
He has no executive experience, hasn't even completed a term or passed a bill.
Do you really want socialist universal healthcare like Canada's "wait 6 months for an MRI" B.S.?

He's loaded with agenda, and is so unprepared he doesn't talk issues, just pure rhetoric and HYPE! ANY candidate would be better!

Wow in 96 he still had on his training wheels and now he can walk on water. Good to know that his brain dead cult supporters think he is now ready for prime time!
Like true cultists, they believe and "feel" their new Black Messiah can do NO wrong. Lot of “feeling” going on there.
That must be why he is so loved by Osama, Jackson, Sharpton and the new Black Panther Party. He is their sort of guy.
Racism goes both ways and is alive & well on these blogs. There is a higher percentage of whites voting for Obama than there are blacks voting for Hillary OR McCain - does this not have a racist undertone coming from the black community?
