Powell: New president must continue Iraq draw-down

Colin Powell still hasn't decided who he's going to vote for in this November's presidential elections, but he says it is imperative that whoever resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue next year continue to reduce the US troop presence in Iraq.

Perhaps he will run on a ticket with one of them, then what kind of racial remark will you make?

It's good to see Powell showing up on the list of potentials for Obama's running mate. I think that would be a dream team.

Are you having another LSD flash back or did you just crawl out of your bong.

I do not think an American of such integrity as Colin Powell would stoop to Obama’s inter circle of islamic terrorist sympathizers, racists anti zionists and anti Americans.

Powell is wrong to support loser candidates Hillary’s and Obama’s compulsion ‘to cut and run’ from Iraq and 'never look back' while neglecting to realize the danger to US from the destructive and murderous Iranian radical Islamic regime.
General Petraeus is right to start sending 20,000 US troops back home in July and leaving 140,000 US troops for the next 45 days. Clearly, General Petraeus is right to realize that any vacuum that will occur after US troops leaving Iraq will be filled rapidly by the Iranian regime ‘planted’ Islamic terrorists.
Evidently, General Petraeus realized that the Iranian regime will keep killing our US troops in Iraq unless US will defeat and destroy the ‘head of the Iranian snake’ Ahmadinajad and Ayatollah Khomeini.
The Iranian regime is seeking taking control of cities in Iraq and building Iranian regime bases like the Iranian regime base in Gaza after that was taken from Fattah by the Iranian regime planted Hamas Islamic terrorists.
In addition, the al Qaida Islamic terrorists that are sponsored and armed by Saudi Arabia are seeking Iraqi cities where US troops influence diminished because of re-assignment of US troops.
US defeated al Qaida and pushed them out of Iraqi cities but without US troop’s support of the Iraqi troops the process may be reversible and al Qaida will come back.
Nevertheless, Powell was right to support Obama’s handling of Jeremiah saying, "He didn't abandon the minister that brought him closer to his faith, but at the same time he deplored the kinds of statements that the Reverend Wright had made.

Powell lost all credibility after his presintation to Congress, It sounded good at the time, buy what we all know now that most of what he told to Congress was fabricated, and I hope the next administration also holds Powell, along with Bush, Cheney, Wolfawitz, Rice and a few select other partners in this crime in the war crimes tribunals. I hope he gets life like the rest of them.

Where were you and the rest of the repug's when Bush's coalition of the bribed bailed out of Iraq leaving mostly Americans and a few token others like the UK and Austrailia left in Iraq? I didnt hear anyone calling them "cut and runners" as a matter of fact, if you only watch Fox, like you, you would hardly hear a thing about it. The bribe money ran out, and the rest of the world knew that the lead up to this war in Iraq was a fabrication, and left, rightfully so. And the Islamio radical extreamist that you refer to is a word made up by Fox news, is actually Iraqi's that dont want Americans on thier soil. WE toppled Saddam, we made sure they didnt have any WMD's. mission accomplished! Lets get the fork out of there, the sooner the better.

Exactly. Now he thinks we should reduce the troop presence? We wouldn't have had a presence if he didn't push Bush's WMD bullshit so fervently. Now he decides to come out of the woodwork? I wouldn't put trust in anything he has to say.

Good point. You just proved that it is time to destroy the head of the radical Islamic evil snake...the ugly Ahmadinajad that is a menace to the security of millions of innocent people in the civilized world.

What I am reading says Powell walked out in disgust of that "same old Washington establishment" and has been remarkably critical of it ever since.

why do you think he left the Bush administration? You really don't think he was pressured into and believed that WMD was there, just like every other american did? And when he realized there was a mistake, that he alone couldn't resolve, he left with disapproval of that administration.

Jimmy, did you even read the article? It states that Powell is in favor of withdrawing troops from Iraq so that would be one schizophrenic ticket, dude.

He does'nt have any integrity whatsoever. He was appointed by Bush. Who's bullshit agenda did you think he was going to push? If you think he was stupid enough to believe the WMD crap, then you know you can't put any stock into anything he says now.

Good points, add in that Powell said "if you break it you buy it", He put this in child terms so that even stupid Bush could understand it. Powell was right, and we are having to buy the oil fields we now protect, and it didn't even keep the price of oil down, another Bush lie. Bush gave Powell bad information and made him speak about it at the UN, that is why Powell left.

This article proves that Powell was screwed over by Bush and with Powells jumping on the Obama band wagaon will help destroy McCains credibility, of which he has little left anyway.
