Al Gore and Jimmy Carter. If these are the hero's of your party: you are in trouble. Jimmy Carter was the worst president. Al Gore made a fortune on global warming but flew private jets instead of commercial and lived in a mansion that wasn't environmental friendly until people protested.
He is NOT a scientist and didn't invent the internet. They are lies he started.

More and more I'm beginning to hate the democratic party.

Two losers, lining up to make the Hil-Bily lose. One can only hope. Gore the hypocrite, and Jimma Caarter, one of the worst & sorriest President ever to grace the White House, Slick Willie being the other. 21% interest rates under Carter. Now he's meeting with a sworn enemy of the U.S. w/o going through the State Department. Some call that Treason, but not Jimma.

If the Democratic Party is to unify it is imperative that we stop the bloodletting and begin to heal well before August. The super delegates know this, and want to end it by mid-May. However, like many political types they are spineless. They need to follow, not lead. Gore and Carter, if they so choose, could provide that leadership. While Clinton, correctly, points out that Obama could still lose the nomination, they fail to see one basic truth – yes he can lose, but no she cannot win. The only way he will lose, is if she so badly damages him, that he becomes unelectable in November (that has not happened yet – but remains possible). What is also clear, is that even if she does that, he will still have more delegates and more of the popular vote. This will leave the super delegates the choice of going with the voters and nominating a damaged candidate or going against them and risk angering a large block of supporters – many of whom will not turn out in November, if Clinton is perceived as having stolen the election. Under such circumstances, they will either go ahead and nominate Obama or choose a third person (maybe Gore). They will not choose the person who put them in the position, Hillary. Either way she looses the nomination.

Seeing this, the super delegates are just waiting for an excuse to pile on and make Obama the nominee as soon as possible. Gore and Carter could provide that excuse. I predict that Obama will win North Carolina in early May. Following that Gore and Carter will endorse him and the remaining super delegates will, by and large, follow suit.

The only people polls have any meaning for are the Hil-Bilys. Billy Boy's whole administration was run on polls. By the way, what was Billy Boy's poll rating after he bombed the asprin factory??

Jimmy Carter is well respected throughout the world. Can you even achieve half what these people have done? You prefer to connive and condone with injustices around the world as long as it 'benefits' you; but sooner or later, these injustices will be at your doorsteps! The Rustbelt may feel agrieved, but African farmers lost their livelyhoods many decades ago because of international trade practices, yet they neve complained. Rise Russia, Rise China, a gift of Iraq to Iran, Rise India, Rise Europe and see the terror in the eyes of the coldwar maniacs.

Jimma Carter may have been beloved in your country, but he almost drove this country to Depression. I didn't do anything to African Farmers, what have YOU done to help huh?? I notice you're sitting in Belgium, what has Belgium done, except sit on their collective duffs. Good country to be from, far away from.

As I look at this thread, and others on Topix, I note two incongruous arguments. Clinton supporters (1) claim that only she can defeat McCain and (2) as they are making claim one, they call Obama supporters “nutcases,”“idiots,”“cult followers,”“racist,”“mindless” and countless other names. My question to these people,“do you really think that Clinton can win in November without the votes, of Obama supporters?” I doubt it. If Clinton gets the nomination by belittling Obama and his supporters, how do you expect us to vote for her in the Fall? I suspect that those who claim to support Clinton and who disparage Obama and his supporters are actually supporting McCain and hope to breed division in the democrats. This is the only way McCain will win. I am not saying that every Clinton supporter feels this way, but I do think that those who call Obama supporters names, are secret Rovian operatives.

obama SHOULD step down, he is DIVIDING our country and our party. He is talking about working class people in PA and midwest towns when he is in front of the rich, then in front of us in the midwest, he is talking about "the rich white man", and you know what he has been saying in Rev. Wrights church, I gaurantee you he is not keeping his mouth shut at his anti-white church.
He starting dividing our country 20 years ago by giving Rev. Wright donations on a regular basis.
I see that the good Rev. is still playing an ACTIVE roll in the church... why is obama still going to keep sending them his money for tithe?
And the replacement pastor has said that he is going to carry on with the same as Rev. Wright?
Does this send any red flags to ANYONE??? American people are NOT going to vote for an ANTI AMERICAN, ANTI WHITE, ANTI ITALIAN, ANTI JEW President!! Especially over McCain. Hillary has got the best chance to beat McCain.
To think that Obama is dividing the party is a laugh... Who has been using all the necessary means to pull the other down to the extent of praising the opponent?

I came upon this post by accident, and I must say it is very disturbing.
What has Jimmy Carter and Al Gore done or said that makes you all think they are going to indorse Obama. Mr. Carter is a true southern Gentleman and Mr. Gore is not at all interested in politics now.
As far as Obama, Mrs. Clinton has now said what I have been saying for months, Obama and his lady is elitest, rich and arrogant. And for the for the so called church he attends, they should be prosacuted for treason.
I am a Kentuckian by birth and heart, now reside in Georgia. I am 70 yrs old and I have seen a lot but this year makes me sad. Our country deserves better, and I belive that Hillary R. Clinton is our best hope to be better.

As to your first question, President Carter has said that his entire family supports Obama. While that is not definitive as to whom he supports, it has lead some to believe that he is at least leaning that way.
