Largest 3rd Party Presidential Candidate To Challenge “Big Box” Parties November Surprise? Obama and Clinton may as well both drop out Kansas City, Mo. (April 26,2008) The Constitution Party chose a presidential candidate at a nominating convention held this weekend in Kansas City, MO. Former Constitution Party Vice Presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin was chosen by delegates from state affiliates of the third largest federally-recognized political party, based on voter registrations (www.ballot-access.org). Baldwin, a pastor, writer and conservative talk show host won the nomination from a field of eight prospective nominees, including former U.N. Ambassador and Asst. Secretary of State in the Reagan administration, Dr. Alan Keyes. Baldwin, who founded the Crossroad Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida, addressed the Constitution Party delegates in a passionate speech that outlined his concern that elected officials from both the Republican and Democrat parties had abandoned the principles of limited government. Baldwin decried “the bi-partisan complicity that has allowed the illegal, immoral, unconstitutional war that has resulted in the slaughter of four thousand American soldiers and untold innocent Iraqis”. Baldwin went on to point out “If elected, I will end the lunacy that sends Americans abroad to guard the borders of Iraq, while leaving our borders wide open, inviting illegals to plunder the wealth and good will of American citizens”. Baldwin’s remarks were interrupted by a number of thunderous standing ovations making it clear his message resonated with the party faithful. Chuck Baldwin, a Constitution Party member for a number of years, promised, that if elected he would work to protect the lives of the unborn, abolish the IRS and the Federal Reserve, support home schooling, and “eviscerate” vast numbers of unconstitutional federal programs like the Department of Energy (“we have more than enough oil in Alaska”) and Social Security (“which is nothing more than socialism”). Baldwin promised to get “the U.S. out of the U.N. and the U.N. out of the U.S.”, to abolish the department of Homeland Security and to end foreign aid. Constitution Party delegates chose Baldwin over Dr. Alan Keyes, by a vote of 384 to 126. “Alan Keyes is a principled and remarkably gifted statesman, and we hope he chooses to join the Constitution Party and support our efforts; however, when all was said and done, the delegates were apparently persuaded that Chuck Baldwin was more aligned with our party’s platform especially on issues like the U.N., the Iraq war and foreign aid”, commented Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer. Chuck Baldwin said his Washington “outsider” status would likely be considered a plus in this election, saying many “dissatisfied Americans have come to view political insiders as carriers of ‘big government disease’”. Baldwin vowed to honor his oath to uphold the Constitution. He acknowledged that the Christian principles of our Founding documents guaranteed liberty for people of all creeds, and “pledge(d) to cultivate a climate in D.C. which reins in government and reminds those in power they are bound by limits set in place by our Constitution.

Poll: Clinton leads McCain (AP) WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton has a better chance than Barack Obama of beating Republican John McCain, according to a new Associated Press-Ipsos poll that bolsters her argument that she is more electable in the fall than her rival for the Democratic nomination. The survey released Monday gives Clinton a fresh talking point as she works to convince pivotal undecided superdelegates to side with her in the drawn-out Democratic primary fight. Clinton, who won the Pennsylvania primary last week, has gained ground this month in a hypothetical head-to-head match up with the GOP nominee-in-waiting; she now leads McCain, 50 percent to 41 percent, while Obama remains virtually tied with McCain, 46 percent to 44 percent. Thank you for stating the obvious Howard Dean. And why now? Is there no more blood left to sling between these two? The democrabs have already given the Republicans all the ammo they need. Its too late. Both candidates may be so tainted and ruined at this point that I think all the democrats needs to step down in June, including Dean.

Hey, judgejay, if you had watched Meet The Press yesterday, you would KNOW that Howard Dean's sentiment is NOT that Clinton OR Obama MUST drop out. In fact, Mr. Dean's view is much like James Carville's and most of us true patriotic Democrats: you don't declare a football game to be over when there's still time left on the game clock. It would be, ironically, similar to the election debacle in Jeb Bush's state, where John Bolton was one of the people who was counting those hanging chads, and isn't it ironic how a largely conservative Supereme Court APPOINTED Jeb's brother as President in the end anyway? While I'm here, though, let me add the comments that Ariana Huffington wasn't exactly democratic or diplomatic with her comments on HBO while she pawed at Gary Shandling on Real Time With Bill Maher. Anyway, granted, I totally believe in freedom of expression and free speech and all that, but for anyone to post a comment like your own "b.s. Dean should shut his big fat mouth" shows us that you might benefit by making yourself a little more aware of what's happening before you make such snap judgements, judgejay. Take care.

Even the crazed granola-chomper from flake-central, Vermont, has been made to see reason and is desisting from anointing Obama the nominee. The party elite can no longer hide that it is Clinton they were trying to steal the election from via Michigan and Florida, not Obama. No one can win a general election with the alliance Obama has. Republicans now know he is a lefty liberal. I have nothing against that, but they do not win general elections. Losing the White House is what will split the Democratic Party. We have already lost it 28 of the last 40 years because the flake-wing that controls the party REFUSES to nominate a centrist, but keeps nominating effete lefty liberals like Obama. Few of Obama's ahistorical supporters are cognizant of this history.

There may be some strategery in the Democratic party pushing the campaign out as long as possible. They are able to work out "issues" in a controlled environment. For example, the Rev Wright episode would have been much more explosive had it been broken by the Republicans in August/Sep 2008.

the Democrats have destroyed this country by slinging there ugly words around, I cant wait to see this thing come to end, I have had enough of this, what a shame, and now this thng about Rev Wright hateful explosion on America, then Obama wont where anything patrioctic, and Hillary is in it just for her self, all they want to do is kill babys, and soport the homosexual agends and teach this stuff to our children, and take pray out of school, and the public places, and they soport the hate crime bill(which is by Edward Kenndy of Ma) and tax the american people some more so they can do there own thing, go ahead and vote for them, but if you like your freedom to speak and go about then vote for someone who cares, Nither one of these individuals knows what it like to be on the other side of Hate like McCain, so they no nothing about keeping this country save, I am on McCain Side, now that the Democrats have ruined the Voting process, and Made America look absolutely embarrassing in the out side world, I say thanks to the Democrats for doing this to us,

What is so wrong with letting the process play itself out. Conventions aren't for coronations they are for choosing a candidate. Maybe Howard should have paid more attention to FLA when the Republicans in the state hosed the Democratic Party's primary election and the response of the National Committee to that. Michigan get bent. At any rate neither of these two states should be counted by the rules passed. The only thing that will elect George McCainiac in the fall is Democrats failing to vote Democratic. Next time you hear a Bushbot or a McCainiac - set them straight as to what reality is and how we got here. Make them take responsibility for the dumb shit inept party they belong to. Sometimes people should really keep the bigger picture in mind and forget petty differences. If you're a racist or a sexist, hey you are in the wrong party - go be a republican retard - the Democratic party doesn't need you. This should be settled the old fashioned way. If you are concerned about the candidate not having enough time to counter George McCainiac's lies and ineptitude - hey spread your opinion to your friends - chastise these republican losers every chance "YOU" get. Get involved, get personal, get mean. Make a difference and changed this fucked up republican contortion of our once great nation and it's continuing demolition of the middle and lower classes. Restore America - and if this time it ain't quite what you wanted - grow up, deal with it and get more involved next time to get the changes you demand. Clean the Democratic party out of it's dead wood also. Time we took our country back from special interests and business. There are too many vital issues at stake in the future. And if you don't agree - hey piss off, I don't really care. You are part of the problem - not the cure.

Wonder why he did not step up with this sooner? Whatever the reason I am ready for some new candidates, I was very dissapointed in the two candidates we have representing Democratic views. Hillary is a hater of minorities it is obvious and Obama does not seem to know what to do? Both are sad candidates to apply for being President of Lost America. Meanwhile we are protecting a country that dispises us, our economy is now has a hole in its pocket, that can't seem to be plugged, and illeagals and 3rd world country people get away with murder! While Hillary and Obama contine to fight each other so that they can give the country over to another Crazy Republican this race will go down in history not to mention the millions of Tax payers money down the drain! PRICELESS$$$$$
