Condi Rice for VP talk persists despite denials

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has said repeatedly she does not "do politics" but her name keeps popping up as a potential running mate for Sen. John McCain, the Republican presidential candidate.

McCain will not choose Condi, and even if he did, she would not accept. 10% of the US may believe, incorrectly, that Obama is muslim, but a much higher number believes that Condi is a lesbian. Obama has had to spend a huge amount of time proving he is a Christian (and many still do not listen); Condi doesn't want to have to do the same thing regarding her sexuality.

I suppose you have proof that she is a lesbian. I find it amazing that if she was a liberal it would never be talked about, or she would be a hero. The only woman in Washington that has not been accused as being a lesbian is Laura Bush. It’s also important to point out that she is a scholar in Russian culture. Russian women are very close to their girl friends. Unlike American women, Russian women are very secure with their sexuality. A friend is a friend. As far as I know they are not lesbians, just very close to other women. To be honest, I could care less if Condi is a transvestite. She is a brilliant woman and is a major asset to this country.

By the way I didn't say she was a lesbian - I said many people believe she is. just like crazy people believe Obama is muslim. That is why I said, she would not want to run and have to deal with all of the rumors. Do a google search and you will see it all over the place, and I am not talking bogus websites, the Times of London, among others has articles asking the question. If she were a lesbian, make me more likely to vote for her; but i doubt it would help among the social conservatives that McCain needs.

Not for anything, but since you decided that her behavior is explainable by her fondness for Russian culture, I thought you might be interested in the fact that one of the news outlets speculating on whether she is a lesbian is Pravda (not a source that I normally rely upon) but I think they should have a good idea of Russian culture. I can see the commercials now where McCain is shown saying that Rice is one of those most responsible for the Iraq war debacle.

I believe he made several statements to that effect over the years.

Pravda means “the truth” in Russian, not. If you read the Russian version (get someone to translate it for you) of the article it is very poorly translated into Russian. The problem is they copy articles directly from other newspapers from around the world. I was stationed in Moscow and St. Petersburg for 9 years. You can talk to anyone who has spent any time there if it is unusual for women walking down the street holding hands.

I couldn't care less if Condi Rice was a lesbian, tranny, or an alien. What she is is a Bush crony, considered by many if not most as the least effective national security advisor in the history of our country, and a considerable less that successful Sec. of State. I think consideration has to be given to the fact that she worked for BushCheney for 8years....but if she has the intelligence that she is reported to have, then she should have had the integrity to give up her power position and just LEAVE this administration . Instead, she chose to stay an be part of the problem. This would seem to disqualify her for consideration for future political positions.

I agree but she will not get the black vote in her home state because of the way Bush didn't support Katrina efforts. The people down there are still in trailers...I guess America has forgotten about them. White women don't know nothing about SoS Rice, they probably pay more attention to Mrs. Bush or SoH Pelosi...like most blacks think, some white women think she is just a token to be in that position.But she is a well rounded woman in any color.
