McCain's Foreign Affairs Speech Plagiarizes 1996 Address By Adm. Timothy Ziemer
These lines are not McCain’s own. As TP reader 5th Estate discovered, they were in fact taken largely from a 1996 speech by ret. Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer. Below is a comparison of McCain’s address yesterday with Ziemer’s in 1996.

So what? Liberal rag like Newsday is banking on catching McCain in something that can be on par with Obama's rascist pastor, or Hillary's war stories. The man is a true American hero and those 2 clowns couldn't carry his M16.

Meh. Big effin deal.
Haven't each of the front runners "borrowed" someone else's words this campaign season? When can we start reading about the issues? You know the ideas that Presidents and other elected officials build their policies around that ACTUALLY impact people? The policies that hit us in our wallets? |

I aam waiting for the morph video of McCain and Hillary. Both are major talkers with the same message.
I must not be the only one to see them reaching to the middle. |

Agree. |
McCain is son and grandson of Admirals. He was too lazy to appreciate his free college education from their service, so graduate at the bottom of his class. He crashed several planes while training. And got shot down. Then signed "war crimes confession." Dumped his loyal wife when he got home for a rich beer heiress. Dumped his honor for Keating 5 scandal. Dumped his fellow troops by supporting torture. Dumped his honorable stance against tax welfare for the rich - to kiss Bush butt -- to gain party backing. Won't vote for money for returning troops. Nah. He's not a hero. He IS a torture victim, to be pitied. Whatever honor he had, he traded for public office which he abused. If I were to vote for a military/industrial/complex toady -- I'd at least want one who bothered to PAY ATTENTION during his free college education our taxes paid for. |

2 He said something I thought was scary in the context of McCain being a fighter. He said he wanted to join with other Democracies in the effort to advance democratic control around the world. Sounds to me as though Iraq isn't necessarily the only place we will be fighting if McCain is elected. |

The 'main stream media' is waiting for the Democrat convention fireworks. I am amazed at how they are feeding the potential for a meltdown. It seems that like Congress, that and an easy ratings win, at any cost.

I agree! You actually have to search to see what McCain is doing and what policies he is proposing. The media is screwing up again, but then that doesn't really come as a big surprise. |
|
Shhh. He's practicing his lines. Poor guy. The little bit of integrity he has left is making him choke up -- trying to deliver their crazy neocon hate message.
Logic keeps fighting to resurface. It makes him flub the idiot script he's been ordered to parrot. |
|
Do you really know the origin of the Neocons ? I see you claim they hate but do you know where they came from and how they evolved ? |

The neocons started with Wm. F. Buckley who gave them a voice when he started his magazine. Also Podhortz (sp) who is McCain's foreign policy advisor. Podhortz is a scary guy!
|
The NEOCONs started with JFK's inauguration speech about going anywhere to promote democracy and freedom. Among the earliest NEOCONs were Scoop Jackson , JFK and Pat Moynihan all Democrats. Among the last were Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller. Most of the others were run out of the Dem party by George McGovern in 1972. This included Richard Pearle , Paul Wolfowitz and Daniel Feith who were the main NEOCONs recruited by Rummy. |

Buckley had already started his magazine. And Podhortz was already around. I don't agree with all of what you stated, sorry, but don't have the time to go into a whole history course here. |
Yup. Looks like empire, smells like empire, is destructive like every idiot plan to "rule the world." Different suit. Same stupid. The Clintons and McCain are way too deep in the miserable morass. That's why the best hope is Obama. But, not alone. Every neocon leaning Dem needs to have a BETTER Dem flush them -- in the primaries. Anyone who still loves our nation as an EXAMPLE of progress towards the best ideals of self governance should please run for office or find and support candidates to sweep out all neocons. Our best asset was SHOWING how to be free. Not trying to FORCE regimes on unwilling nations at gunpoint. If we don't make the effort at self-governance, we will be RULED by snotty elitist dollar royals with fantasies of grandeur run amok. |
