What are you talking about? How has being black HELPED Obama? You do realize that black people comprise less than 15% of the population? And that there are many more white people and WOMEN in the US?

Also Hillary had a huge part of the hispanic vote, but still can't pull a win? First her camp complained that she's loosing because she's a woman (despite her crying BS she pulled) and now they're complaining because Obama's black.

I'm like damn, heffa how many handicaps do you need? This isn't the olympics. Obama doesn't have the Dream Team at his disposal. This is politics, an arena where blacks have never had a substantial foothold, yet Obama's still giving her a lot more than a run for her money.

She just can't take it that the black man is beating her. In her mind he stole her votes.

But in reality I think people started to dislike her more and more the way she carried herself thru the debates. The chickens have come home to roost and it ain't pretty.

I can't disagree with Ferraro's statement.

Hillary disagrees with it out of political expediency.

And she remains mute about the whole sordid Spitzer affair.

After all is he not one of those superdelagates.

Way to go Hillary!

I'm so tired of the issue of race that keeps popping up re: Obama. He is essentially trying to rise above all that and speak to ALL Americans. He's never used the race card, despite what some Hillary supporters are saying. He has the right to take offense if someone brings it up as a dismissal of his success. Geraldine is completely mistaken in her analysis that Obama wouldn't be where he was if he weren't black. History shows us that the mere fact that he is black could have deterred him from rising the way he has. Look at how few African Americans we have as senators or governors for godness sakes! When he began campaigning last year, he was virtually an unknown candidate with less campaign finance than Clinton and way behind in the polls. Over the last few months, as he's worked to prove himself a viable candidate he's won the support of many new voters, young voters, white voters and black voters. He has transcended beyond race and to suggest otherwise is a fallacy. The Clinton name recognition alone should have propelled Clinton to clinch the nomination as she planned, but Obama has proved again and again that he has true integrity and leadership skills that cannot be denied.

Won't work though. Obama win again and will prevail in November.
Will Ferraro and other racists commit hari kari before they are willing to accept Black Barack as their commander in chief?
I sure hope so.

Trust me. As a woman who always works in offices and business with ALL men... sometimes you have to get on your high horse and raise your voice a little to be heard. If she was a man, you would not think she was ill poised or harsh or offensive. If anything.... if she were a man she would be definitely winning. As a professor and a woman, she has done more for education, women AND health care.... all three of which ARE the way to change our world with real action... not just quotes of CHANGE as Obama is offering.
I like Obama and I obviously disagree with Ferraro. Of course Clinton genuinely disagrees with Ferraro. She is an old lady and has old ideas....AND LASTLY OBAMA DOES have a dream team more than any other candidate... ummm OPRAH. Without Oprah he wouldn't even be in this race right now... can you say richest Black woman in the world on your team..... that's dream enough for me.

Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday she disagrees with Geraldine Ferraro, one of her fundraisers and the 1984 Democratic vice presidential candidate, for saying that Barack Obama "would not be in this position" if he were white instead of black.

==========

Let's be civil. No matter what anyone says the real truth as mentioned by the best authorities on Obama is that even if Obama was White, he would be facing the same issues of being too inexperienced, immature, that he rushes to judgment without having the facts, and that he would make a bad US President. Obama needs to gain experience, quality experience, along the way. Mre. Clinton can give this to Obama, but Obama's big head gets in the way of his growing up. Obama's supporters blindly support Obama and anything that Obama does which is wrong they see with a golden eye to Obama!

Obama is like a god to them, even if he commits illegal and immoral acts.

People like to draw a similarity between Obama and JFK. JFK was actually younger and had a wealthy & powerful family behind him. Obama has not has that advantage. If he is in this position just because he is Black, why is he the first to be there? Others have tried without as much success. Ultimately, most people - especially the White majority - do not vote privately to be "politically correct". I do agree though, if he were a woman of color, I would be surprised to see him get this far.

THE WITCH DISAGREES WITH ANYONE WHO IS NOT LESBIAN OR A REPUBLICAN CONSERVATIVE.

BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS - THIS REPUGNANT FEMALE WILL BE PRESIDENT ONLY IN HER WILDEST LESBIAN DREAMS.

AS FAR AS OBAMA GOES, THE U.S.A. WILL NEVER HAVE A RADICAL ISLAMIC IN A POSITION OF POWER.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW HE MANAGED TO STAY IN THE CAMPAIGN??? HIS CAMPAIGN TOOK IN OVER A HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS. IS HE REALLY THIS RICH ?? HELL NOOOOOO.

HE GETS HIS MONEY FROM TEHERAN AND FROM DUBAI !!!! THESE COUNTRIES HAVE UNLIMITED FUNDS AND THEY WANT THIS ISLAMIC IN THE WHITE HOUSE FOR OBVIOUS REASONS.

As a Democratic Governor, he was a superdelegate and one that was backing Hillary. Once the new governor is sworn in, and I think he is African American and legally blind, her total may drop by one. On this, I am not sure since the Lt. Governor has not been sworn in as Governor yet.

But I think that she should've fired Ferraro immediately. If she does not, after demanding action for being called a monster, she comes across as wanting others to be held to a higher standard. Let's face it, since she and Slick Willie survived Whitewater and Monicagate, she thinks she is above everyone else. It is her arrogrance that keeps me from voting for her. Humility is the way to win votes from those people that are undecided.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Hillary decided to play the race card to stir up resentment in white voters. If OBama had come out after New Hampshire and said "well, a black man has never won anything in New Hampshire, so what do you expect", about 90% of white America would have written him off as a whining Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton clone. But when Bill Clinton likens OBama's victory in South Carolina to Jessie Jackson's in a "well, what did you expect, their all black in South Carolina" type of way, black voters are supposed to ignore it and continue to vote for Hillary whom they were supporting early on in the race before the Clintons started race batiing. Why would you expect black voters to vote for someone who is using race as a way to get the white vote, fully ocnfident that they will get the black vote in the general election anyhow?
