Is it fishy to anyone else that Frank Beamer got out of the WVU/VT series (which was a huge rivalary for anyone who doesn't know) right when Pat White, Steve Slaton and company came to Morgantown. Come on Beamer. This is White's last season. Start the series back! Too important a rivalary for both schools to not play anymore.

Or because that was a Big East Conference game and VT left the Big East the year before their last game. There was no contract ever in place for future games.

I want to see the rivalry renewed too! When Tech was in the Big East, it was still a given that they'd play UVa every year, regardless of conference. We should do the same with WVU.

I wish the VT-WVU rivalry was renewed... I have a feeling it was canned because of the crazy shit fans do after the game.

You obviously don't understand that schedules are made up years in advance, and since VT made it a habit of kicking WVA's backside often I am sure Beamer would have loved to continue that for many years in the future. The only common opponent this year was ECU, which beat Tech in the last seconds on a blocked punt, and all but ran WVA out of the stadium for all four quarters. Dream on!!!
