For South Carolina's 'helter-skelter' defense, talented Tigers present a tall task

It had to be the question everyone watching at Williams-Brice Stadium was asking themselves Saturday night: if a quarterback from an FCS program can burn South Carolina for one big play after another, what might a Heisman Trophy finalist be capable of? It's certainly merited, given the difficulties the Gamecocks had slowing Western Carolina in a 44-31 victory that clinched bowl eligibility for USC in its first season under head coach Will Muschamp. Now, a much greater challenge awaits - a trip to Death Valley to face an armada of skill athletes who will attempt to run all over the Gamecocks like the Catamounts did Saturday night.
