Sacred Heart beats Wagner 42-20

Running back Evin Jones had 29 carries for 171 yards and one touchdown and quarterback Dale Fink threw four touchdown passes as Sacred Heart defeated Wagner, 42-20, on Friday.

Rishard Brown's 51-yard interception return, with 4:00 left in the third quarter, gave Sacred Heart (8-1, 4-1 Northeast Conference) a 35-20 lead. The cornerback was carried off the field on a stretcher after being inadvertently knocked in the head on a tackle attempt with less than a minute left in the game. He gave a thumbs-up as he was wheeled to an ambulance, and the school said his injuries were not believed to be serious though he might be hospitalized overnight for observation.
