The football finally descended into the opportunistic hands of Monmouth freshman Mike Basile, a 6-foot-1 Brick Memorial strong safety.

Campus Corner: Swales Totals 115 All-Purpose Yards for Lock Haven
Junior running back Beau Swales rushed for 78 yards on 22 carries in his first start for Lock Haven Saturday, but the Bald Eagles were denied a win in their opener when West Virginia State scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter to pull out a 19-14 victory at Lankin Field. Swales also caught two passes for eight yards and returned two kickoffs for 29 yards as he went over the 1,000-yard mark for all-purpose yards in his career.
