BLACKSBURG, VA. -- Virginia Military Institute operates under the simple rule that three points is greater than two. It runs the floor with a mile-a-minute offense that relies on three-pointers and a press defense that frequently allows opponents easy two-point buckets.

But that causes problems when the Keydets' three-point attempts are limited, like they were in Wednesday night's 98-73 loss to Virginia Tech at Cassell Coliseum.

'Credit them for having a game plan and executing it,' VMI Coach Duggar Baucom said of the Hokies. 'We have a team that, solely because of our height and athletes, has to knock down shots, and they did a great job contesting them.'
