Villanova beats William & Mary 38-28
Christopher Whitney scored four touchdowns and accounted for 246 total yards to help Villanova hold off William & Mary 38-28 on Saturday.
Whitney completed 20 of 27 passes for 186 yards and a career-high three touchdowns. He also had 19 carries for 60 yards and a score for the Wildcats (4-1, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association).
Aaron Ball added 139 rushing yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in the win.
R.J. Archer completed 21 of 37 passes for 307 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while adding 10 rushing yards and two scores for the Tribe (2-2, 0-1).
