Intentionally short, awaiting Brandon installing Internet reefer
High school football practice doesn't officially start for another month, but at Pahokee, competition is well underway.
The Blue Devils will be one of sixteen teams participating Saturday in the Nike South Florida 7-on-7 Football Challenge at Miramar Regional Park. The flag football event will feature more than 90 games beginning at 8 a.m., with each team guaranteed six games. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held over to Sunday.
The tournament comes on the heels of a 7-on-7 tournament the Blue Devils took part in two weeks ago. Pahokee finished second June 29 to Booker T. Washington in the Adidas 7-on-7 Regional Tournament at the University of Central Florida.
