Assembly Streetscape Project to Cost $100 Million

Oh yeah? The city can't find anything better to do with $100 million? How does this even qualify as news? In fact, how could it cost nearly that much????? Re-paving the street and planting some trees or bushes can cost a lot less than that. Tell you what...let me bid on that project, and I'll do it for $90 million, saving the city $10 million, and I will make Assembly Street beautiful, while lining my bank account with a cool $80 million. And I bet I can get it fully funded by the federal gov't if I change the name to Martin Luther King Street. Then I can keep all the money. City Council is full of idiots.
