Coaching Derek in Basketballl at Albion High School was a tremendous honor. A great kid with a great work ethic. After he tore his ACL, his junior year at Pitt, I prayed he would grab the strength to buckle down and work through the adverse time in his life and career. He worked harder than ever in and out of the classroom never loosing sight of his childhood dream. When he continued to strive in a very run dominated offense at Pitt, I knew he would get a look from someone. The kid will play wherever, special teams....punt return, Cornerback or continue to utilize his size spped and strength at the receiver position.
