College Football: Psu receiver Deon Butler interned with a Philadelphia homicide unit

The former walk-on was busy this summer helping break in two new quarterbacks and preparing himself for what surely will be a record-breaking season at receiver.

What a great story. I hope the best for Mr. Deon Butler. It sounds as if he has his head on straight. It's great to hear that a Penn State football player is actually at school to learn something. I get so tired of hearing about all the drinking and fighting that goes on at State College with all those football players being involved, it make it's kind of hard to cheer them on. At least now, I have someone to cheer for. Thank you Deon.

i agree mom4. it's nice that they're finally printing a POSITIVE story about a psu football player. i know there are more- hopefully this is just the return of great men coming out of psu. :-)

This is all part of JoePa's PR campaign. PSU has had many other players with internships and jobs that brought positive feedback to the campus.

Wonder if Joe has William Morris Agency representing him now.
