OSU receiver with famous uncle turning heads

OSU receiver with famous uncle turning heads Ohio State's Michael Thomas, nephew of former NFL great, making name for himself Check out this story on portclintonnewsherald.com: http://ohne.ws/1s1oMk5 Thomas, surrounded by reporters after catching two touchdowns in Saturday's 66-0 rout of Kent State, was straightforward, never veering off course into best-soundbite-of-the-day territory, polite but fairly bland in his responses, almost as if he was reading off a script. He certainly didn't get his uncle's charismatic gene.

First Braxton Miller, now Noah Spence: Missing stars, Ohio...

What do you say about a team that lost its best offensive player two weeks before the start of the season, and one of its best defensive players two weeks into it? With the news that Ohio State junior defensive end Noah Spence, projected by many analysts as a future first-round NFL Draft pick, is suspended at least for Saturday, and very possibly longer, after another failed drug test, some fans may flash to 2011. That's a season when not just one thing went wrong, but it started to feel like things never stopped going wrong.

Ohio State freshman linebacker Raekwon McMillan attacked his first snap of defense Saturday night and wound up with his face stuck in the chest of the Virginia Tech ballcarrier, arms wrapped around the opponent's shoulders, driving him backward out of bounds. Rookie RB Carlos Hyde breaks out as successful option

An early lead in the 49ers' season-opening win meant they didn't have to expose their playbook, thus keeping their secret weapons under wraps heading into Sunday's home opener against the Chicago Bears.
