Learning curve: Fifth-year senior finds that better discipline leads to success
The end zone at LP Field was only 39 yards away when Ole Miss defensive back Cliff Coleman snatched the ball off his shoe laces. Earlier in his career it could have been 39 yards or 939 yards, it didn't matter.

No. 15 Mississippi routs Vanderbilt 41-3
Bo Wallace threw for 320 yards and a touchdown, and 15th-ranked Mississippi routed Vanderbilt 41-3 on Saturday in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams. The Rebels have beaten Vanderbilt in Nashville in consecutive seasons after the Commodores had won five of the previous six.

The Vanderbilt Commodores , after falling 37-7 to Temple in week one, were obliterated by the Ole Miss Rebels to a tune of 41-3 this afternoon in front of a half-full LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee. The game wasn't really ever in question, as Ole Miss kept Vanderbilt off of the board until the fourth quarter.
