My gut says Harris, but Shannon will likely make the safe pick in Marve. It's a crapshoot at this point; hopefully the Canes will be up over 30 pts by halftime, this would allow the 2nd QB to come in for the 2nd half or at least by the end of the 3rd Q.

What is the point of this article? No wonder I read the Herald for 'Canes news. These journalists are horrible.

I think Randy, did the right thing with the suspension of Marve for this one game, he is a young kid, and we all do things we regret at 18 over our emotions, but he damaged someones vehicle and ran from the authorities. Shannon couldn't really punish him much since he was hurt, but letting him work all winter, spring, and summer and then, take something away from him I am sure has gotten his attention and he will not put himself in a position like that again. Is it disappointing from a fans perspective, sure it is, but its not about us, its about the long term future of this young man beyond football. I applaud Randy for doing it, and it lets the team know that no one player is bigger than the TEAM and everyone we will be held accountable for their actions on and off the field.

First of all Joe, you won't win early or often! Timmy will be the one dishing out the hits when the Canes come to town! Speaking of QBs in the pros, when is the last time that the U sent a QB to the pros that actually made an impact? How 'bout those two QBs you guys had last year, where are they today? lol Tebow will make an impact at the next level! Keep dreaming Joe.....thats all you have left! Have a good one anyway Joe!

for some odd reason I don't see that right attidute from must of the Gator Fans when your 'guys' get into trouble, is always 'canethug' this and that...funny you applaud the 'right' attitude; you must also judge that your team is not excempt from 'many off-field' blunders, your not perfect neither is Miami, only when it comes to beating you to tears past several games.lol... good luck
and yes you will need it.

How can you even compare Tebow to Grossman? wow, you surely are an idiot.

And the hitting hopes? People have tried and failed plenty of times (there have been a few good hits, but rarely do they occur).

The way you attack Tebow is by shooting at his knees so that he tumbles over.

He's too big up top to force him backwards; this has been proven time and time again in the competitive SEC.

The only thing they have in common is the same University they quarterbacked for.

Tim, a Mr Florida winner awarded to the best HS football player in the state, was one of the premier quarterbacks last season in college football.

He was the 1st player to rush for at least 20 TDs and throw for at least 20 TDs in college football history.

The SEC is more competitive these days than when Grossman played, and Florida's defense behind Tebow's offense last season, as a full time starter, was no where near as dominant as it was behind Grossman, when he was a full time starter.

Yes, Florida had a dominant defense 2 years ago, but that wasn't behind Tebow as a starter.

Hate the Gators all you want, but clearly Tebow is a great college football quarterback.

I'll bet Marve wins the job and then the Northwestern "folks", "neighborhood", "pressure" will start grumbling for Harris OR coach Shannon may see his "pipeline" of N-Western players suddenly disappear.........

Sounds like Kenny Kelly or Z. Lee (@ fsu) in the making.....

Regardless, Tebow will throw for at least two TD's and run for at least 2 more....not to mention Harvin and the other fellows!!!!!!!
