Jacksonville University unleashed an impressive offensive showing against Florida State in a 59-57 loss at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena Saturday night.

Senior Toney Douglas scored a team-high 16 points as Florida State held off a late charge to beat Jacksonville University 59-57 Saturday in both teams' season opener.

Vaughn Wedeking and Artis Gilmore broke records and barriers simultaneously while playing for Jacksonville University's men's basketball team.

The wait is finally over. The UCF volleyball squad kicks-off the 2008 season Friday night when it faces in-state rival Jacksonville at 5 p.m. as part of the Georgia Southern Invitational.
