Cal gets commitment from Maryland linebacker Nick Forbes
Cal may have lost the Big Three, but another trio could be on the horizon. The Bears have to move on this season without accomplished linebackers Zack Follett, Worrell Williams and Anthony Felder.
Call it a case of the summer flu, or maybe it's the summer session, but as the fourth of July nears, I find it more and more difficult to come up with anything mildly entertaining.

Golden Bears steal another recruit from Washington
Maybe 'theft' is a harsh term for what is obviously just a better job of selling. When kids get into trouble for the tussle they've gotten into, it's common to hear the phrase, "Well, they/he/she started it."
Other valuable Bears that missed the top 10 - part two
This is the final part in a two-part story detailing players that could have easily made the list of top 10 MVB's for 2009. In part one, Shane Vereen, the starting fullback, and the starting tight end were three of six players that nearly made it in.

All aboard! The Cal bandwagon continues to grow
While I agree with many of the predictions that are currently making their way around the web and in other publications, it's beginning to get a little crowded when it comes to picking the Bears to win.
Cal Football: Top 10 most valuable Bears in 2009 - No. 1
Two weeks ago, after reading yet another preseason ranking, I started wondering why these rankings were already being published. For the magazines, I guess I understand - they have to publish them earlier for the masses to digest in order to make a profit. Cal Football: Top 10 most valuable Bears in 2009 - No. 5
As we roll along on our list of top-10 MVB's (most valuable Bears), you may have noticed that talent isn't always going to help a player's ranking. As I've said before, this list is about the irreplaceable players at critical positions for the Bears.
