Mix magazine and Blastwave FX present the Blastwave FX Sound Design Competition, a contest challenging participants to showcase their creativity by designing a soundtrack for a 30-second commercial spot using sounds provided by Blastwave FX.

Construction of Pennsylvania's elk viewing center is underway. Ground for the center, to be known officially as the Pennsylvania Wilds Elk Country Visitor Center, was broken the last week of May, and opening day is set for early 2010.
