Texas quarterback G.J. Kinne has elected to transfer. However, Kinne has not determined where he will transfer, he said in a statement released by the school. via MySanAntonio.com

G.J. Kinne is transferring again, this time under much more normal circumstances.

The Texas Longhorns quarterback said Friday he is leaving the team after one redshirt season to find more playing time elsewhere. Kinne was behind starter Colt McCoy and sophomores John Chiles and Sherrod Harris on the depth chart.

In 2006, Kinne left Canton High School after his dad, the head coach, was shot by an angry parent. He transferred to Gilmer and was a two-time Class 3A offensive player of the year. Read more
