UTEP will not be in the Cotton Bowl Classic which is no longer played at the Cotton Bowl (stadium). That game is now played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington and features a Big 12 team vs an SEC team.

However, there is a chance that UTEP could play in the new TicketCity Bowl which is played in the Cotton Bowl (stadium).
