Miami Dolphins QB John Beck vows to improve

Less than a week after enduring a forgettable rookie season, Dolphins quarterback John Beck instead chose to remember.

After a brief trip to the Magic Kingdom with his wife Barbara and son Ty, Beck canceled his customary fishing trip so he could get back to work on improving - and proving to himself and the 'Big Tuna' that he belonged in the organization's rebuilding process.

'I had to earn his confidence, do something to show what I can do,' Beck said of wanting to make a good impression on Bill Parcells, the team's vice president of football operations. 'If he based it on a 1-15 team, nobody looked great out there. I played a couple of games in the latter half of the season when things were really in the dumps. I knew he watched tapes but would want to see with his own eyes.
