All this means is that the girl got paid for her "loyal service."
She did a great job during the finals. Here's hoping the "working relationship" doesn't blow up in her face like one of the engines she had last week.
For the sake of females in racing, I hope the price she's paid is worth it in the end...I wish her much success-with or without Tony.

That "stable of drivers" has me laughing. Sounds like he's got horses instead of people.

Personally, I don't think 20 out of 25 drivers is doing that great in the finals. The newer, younger 17 year olds did better than her.

I was impressed with Conley and Zimmerly, also.

I think just making the A-main is probably a pretty big deal. A lot of drivers ended up going home so I don't think she did that bad. I do think however, that if she is going to be one of his drivers then she needs to be treated as such and they need to keep it strictly professional. It certainly isn't going to help her career if her fellow drivers and people in the garage believe she's banging the boss.

People at Charlotte already thought she was banging the boss.

I like to see the girls do well and beat the boys. But in all honesty, JZ has never impressed me. She may know a little more about her car than some of the other female drivers, but she just doesn't seem to have what it takes to get it done on the track. I'm not sure if it's skill, knowledge, set up, horsepower, a combination, or something else entirely.

It still seems odd to me that a young winged driver would look to someone like Tony for winged advice. It smells to me of a plan to jump to asphalt, with Tony's name and funding playing a prominent role along the way.

Have to agree with the assessments of Conley and Zimmerly, though. Both were pretty impressive. The sprint cars as a whole really stunk the joint up on Friday night, though. I thought they'd never get that damn feature in.

Very good post, IMO, Teri. I had wondered the same thing about JZ asking Tony for wing advice and backing. And, I doubt there is anyway she could handle the Truck Series at this point. Where in the world would she fit in in NASCAR??

I always thought that Kraig was a cutie, but I've never heard a guy gush over him like that on an internet forum.. Donny's not that bad looking himself.

I disagree about the jealous people (that's how you spell the word) part in your post. I didn't see where Teri was posting anything negative or jealous. She was merely reporting what she saw and heard. Truth hurts, huh??

Does the "G" stand for Goober or Gasket?? I will always be a fan of Tony Stewart Racing and Stewart-Haas Racing..I have my doubts about the man himself.

Jealous of her? Hot and sexy? ROFL! You just don't get it. I'd be the first to cheer for a female driver who made it to VL, but only if she did it on her talent, not because she spread her legs for engines. She has lost all credibility and gets no respect from fans or drivers, especially the ones out there struggling to make it week to week and who don't have bleached blond hair and DD's to attract a middle-aged horn-dog with money.

I love watching TS race, although this year he isn't the driver "too beat", but still having a great year. His behavior with JZ makes him look like a fool tho, which is why people are laughing about it. He can boink every pit lizard at the track as far as I'm concerned, he's a bachelor and that's his business. But he needs to keep his pants zipped up if it's another driver looking to him for financial support and mentoring. JMO.

If she were a non-winger, picking his brain would make perfect sense. Maybe this is something where Donny is going to be more of a mentor to her since he's (it pains me to say this) the cream of the crop in WoO right now?

As we understood the announcement in Charlotte, the arrangement is supposed to be more one of TSR providing technical assistance, not necessarily hands-on nor equipment assistance, although she is said to be getting the same engine freebies. I guess we'll just have to wait until next year to see how things pan out, but unless something miraculous happens, I'm not holding my breath that much improvement will be seen from her. Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the true Outlaw schedule will be to her benefit.
