A grand jury will decide whether NASCAR driver Tony Stewart will be charged in the August death of fellow driver Kevin Ward Jr. at a dirt-track race on Aug. 9. A grand jury will decide whether NASCAR driver Tony Stewart will be charged in the August death of a fellow driver at a sprint car race in upstate New York. Ontario County District Attorney Michael Tantillo said Tuesday that after reviewing evidence collected by sheriff's investigators, he has decided to present it to a grand jury.

A grand jury will decide whether or not NASCAR star Tony Stewart will face charges in a driver's death. Stewart's car struck and killed 20-year-old Kevin Ward Jr. on the dirt track at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Aug. 9. Ward had climbed out of his car and walked onto the track to confront Stewart after he spun out while racing alongside the three-time NASCAR champion.

Anderson motorcycle crash kills teen

The accident happened around 4 p.m. Saturday when traffic was stopped on I-69 near mile marker 226 at Scatterfield Road due to construction. Officials say when Nicholson came upon the stopped traffic he laid down his motorcycle, sliding under a 2004 Chevy Tahoe.

Delaware County deputy arrested after driving drunk, causing accident

A veteran Delaware County sheriff's deputy was drunk when he caused an accident Saturday that injured two other people plus himself, according to authorities. Todd Daily, a corporal with the sheriff's department, was under guard Saturday night at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Tony Stewart deadly crash investigation completed, decision on charges to come next week

Three-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart will find out no later than next week whether authorities will pursue charges in the death of a driver he struck during a sprint car race in upstate New York last month. Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero said that his office has completed its investigation and submitted it to the district attorney's office for review.

Slow construction delays Indiana hospital opening

Construction delays will mean a northeastern Indiana hospital won't be moving into its new facility until several weeks later than planned. Officials at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola say the opening of the new hospital has been rescheduled for Dec. 8. Hospital president Greg Burns says construction progress hasn't kept up with a schedule to allow for the hospital to open as planned in October.

Swapping pit crews in NASCAR - Should it be allowed once Chase time comes around?

Swapping out crew members or even entire pit crews is nothing new to NASCAR and I have no problem with it ... In most situations. This past week, two teams that advanced into the Chase have made alterations to their pit crews.
