Oh and a lot of sports, test both Sample A and B. Federal Standards are that two separate labs do it but NASCAR and most sports are not subject to that standard.

Thanks for the info..didn't know this. |

I'm glad you mentioned this. I don't think a lot of people were aware of that being common practice. People should also realize that the flaws that Jeremy's lawyer want to point out are procedural, or in comparison to WADA standards for testing. Jeremy's first test results were confirmed positive by a 2nd lab, but since the samples had been unsealed from the original rounds of tests, it doesn't get mentioned much. Why some seem to believe that the way the WADA tests is some kind of standard is beyond me. They have comprised their way of doing things, but that doesn't make it the only or right way. Ok! I'm getting of point a little here. While fedral drug testing regulations are not required of most private employer's, the general rule is to try and follow those guidelines. The courts have been known make decisions which show favoritism for those standards. Another thing I feel that it's necessary to point out. Most of the other professional sports leagues have collective bargaining agreements. Drug testing policies are required to be a part of those agreements, even for private business. So, in terms of those leagues testing both samples at the same lab, it is an agreed upon procedure. As we know, Nascar has no collective bargaining agreement with it's driver's and crews, so we're left with the situation we currently have. The point that other sports do indeed test samples at a single lab is still a very valid on though. It shows that it's not only a common practice, but also a practice agreed on by representatives of those participants. I think this certainly shows that Nascar is not doing anything unusual, or unheard of, in how they tested Jeremy's first positive A-B samples. |

1 Didn't you read Jarretts comments? Do you REAlly think that NASCAR wants to bring this kind of bad press onto themselves? Jeremy is starting to sound paranoid. Anyone that doesn't agree with him is AFTER him. WHY wouldn't Jeremy have taken his own samples to separate labs back in May and again this month? AND if he did, why isn't he showing those results from the front page of every paper in the country? |

1 I have been in the Addictions field for 25 years and all I want to say is that Jeremy Mayfield does not look like a meth addict (and I have seen them)and I know that there are drugs that can cause a false negative Does Jeremy have stomach problems? Does he take Zantac? ranitidine can cause a false positive test for meth. Sounds like NASCAR is out to get him to me. Does the lab do chain of custody and Toxi A's that will screen for any OTC meds? I do not follow NASCAR but it seems like this young man is getting the shaft for some reason. |

1 They all knew when they were being tested in Feb. but this was a random test so if he is using meth or abusing his adderall he wasnt ready for the test hence the positive results. Anyone can be a methhead and others not know it. Some more then others show it maybe he just started it who knows. But yall jhave to remember he had several employees suspended for a positive test and then some have quit their jobs, I do believe thoise who quit know more then they will admit. |

1 We know that he has a history of "calling a spade a spade" He did it with Penske and he did it with Everham and although in the beginning Everham denied what Jeremy was saying.....what came out later proved Jeremy to be correct. Jeremy doesn't look like an addict and I personally don't believe that he is......he may be guilty of something else but probably not what King Brian is willing to pay big bucks to make it appear. If anyone looks desperately out of control here, then it points to King Brian. Look at what has happened that we are only aware of in the last few years. - Arested for DUI - Faced with descrimination lawsuit(OUCH that was expensive) - Fabricating the race to make it more like a SHOW or to protect certain teams _ The football playoffs...aka "The Chase" - Inlaw family member dies in plane crash(Nascar plane) - Interest being lost. Fans leaving in droves. - Manipulating the Network coverage...especially Fox and Nascar owned SPEED coverage....Need I say more on which AZZ kissa's are always presently associated? See Banger for details! It should be obvious as to just how sad things have come under the rule of "King Brian" aka "The One-Eyed Undertaker" How much longer is the France Family going to wait until they see that they are going to have to dispose of him? Maybe some members of the family have already spoken up....and they may be afraid of him and his EGO! Maybe they can see just how far he is willing to go in order to keep control. Who Knows? One thing is certain....one can see that his hands have been very busy at what he wants and it seems obvious that he want Jeremy gone. No matter......This King is going to fall.... and Hard.... and he will take the Azz Kissa's with him, because the clean up crew will make sure to carry out the trash! It better be very very soon or Nascar will be thing of the past! |

1 Everyone new they would be tested at that Time. Half life on the drug showing up in your system is 4 days. Eight day's you will test clean from Meth. If he was on prescription drugs at that time he would have been questioned. H went onto his Prescription drugs after Daytona? BullShirt |

This is the only thing I can agree with when it comes to NASCAR's policy. They should have allowed the sample B to be tested independently of their choice of labs. There are many many capable labs in the United States that would be happy to test the sample B, but it was labeled contaminated due to seal breakage. Jeremy Mayfield should have got tested independently that same day, it does make NASCAR look suspicious of tampering. If they would play by the federal guidelines they could have avoided these allegations. |

For the sheep that think its not possible....
Metro/Aegis Laboratories settlement Metro’s legal department is recommending that the city accept a $65,000 settlement from Aegis Laboratories, Inc. over a botched drug test performed on a Metro fire department employee. The employee Email | Print By Drew Ruble 07-09-2003 12:00 AM — Metro’s legal department is recommending that the city accept a $65,000 settlement from Aegis Laboratories, Inc. over a botched drug test performed on a Metro fire department employee. The employee was fired in 1998 after a screening performed by Aegis tested positive for marijuana. The employee appealed the results of that test. An Administrative Law Judge later found that the test had been performed improperly and ordered Metro to reinstate the employee with back pay and benefits http://www.nashvillepost.com/news/2003/7/9/me... |

No one is saying it's not possible. I am saying that I find it hard to believe Jeremy failed 2 DRUG TESTS NOW!! I highly doubt that the lab would make the mistake twice. |

That drug testing thing really became a mess. It is almost they created it as "smoke and mirrors" to take the attention away from something else. |

This time, the Nascar media is hinting that Jeremy kept his mouth shut too long on this one. Well, we have more of this soap opera. His stepmother says she saw him "cook his own meth." BigE, I don't know what you would throw in a meth pot. I do know that one can blow the house up. What is this chit anyway? That ingredient in some sinus tablets (pseudo..) only, that they took off the shevles or is it full of all sorts of other "goodies?" |

Excellent! I was very upset when Greg hurt his ribs from the boat fall and had a legit prescription for something like Darvocet or Vicodin, but he was scared to take it. So, he ate Tylenol and stayed in pain. This was not during race day. Gee, this is fair, right? |
