No problem, I wish I grew up on a farm...it seems like a great life! If I ever have kids I would want them to grow up that way.

One thing I noticed about Indiana, it seems that the family farm is disappearing fast...they are selling for big corporations or land develepors.

I wonder how they plan on feeding the masses in the future?

Meanwhile back on the reservation, the garden is out producing even my expectations (put up 44 pounds of green beans last weekend, and getting ready to put up another 20# or so this weekend), the chickens are laying, the chicks are growing fast, the new Camaro is getting painted as I write...FINALLY, the S-10 is done, the elk tags are in my pocket, and the weather is starting to smell like fall.

Aside from that, things are going pretty good.
Get some fresh air if you can...before it gets REAL fresh and cold, and enjoy this off weekend to do something you have wanted to do for a long time...whatever it is :-).

Glad your garden did well, ours did too. Looks like it is going to be a bad winter here in the NE, there is a lot of mass in the woods and the animals have been shedding at an alarming rate. After 3 months, our wolf is finally starting to show some signs of stopping all the hair loss.

Good question. That is why I am not going to wait for 'they' to feed me, and am doing my best to become self reliant and self sufficient, and be disconnected from the grid.

Farm land is disappearing in this country faster than Ashley Force Hood goes down the strip.
